Random Thought

What if people were ranked by spice tolerance?
Like, if instead of age, you would be able to go do certain things based on how much spice you can handle. For example, you want to get your nose pierced but, only people who can handle 30,000 Scoville units can do it. Something like Cayenne pepper.
Wouldn't that be weird?
It would obviously be checked at the door like they give you a pepper to eat of that Scoville unit. It could be cheated though like if people wore clear balloons or cut condoms on their tongues to protect their taste buds so, they can do a thing without actually taking the heat.
This would be quite a weird world.
You would have to take classes on how to "level up" or "take the heat" so, people can learn.
I would feel bad for the infants and toddlers in that universe but, think about it. A world where everyone can eventually get to the point where they can eat Ghost Peppers, and Carolina Reapers with ease. A world where no one dares to make a hotter pepper because they don't want to have to level up anymore because it hurts so bad. A world where some of the "oldest" people are in their teens and some of them are way older. I don't think that ageism would be a thing anymore just out of blatant respect for the young people who can eat 2,400,000 Scoville peppers. But all of that begs these questions, In a world like that, how hot would the hottest pepper be? I mean, would the Carolina Reaper even exist? Would the Jalapeno be the hottest pepper because people don't want to work hard to be the best? Would people reserve spice for "Professional use only", and never use it in cooking? Would people burn their taste buds out of their mouth to the point they can't taste anything for the rest of their lives, just to do something they want to do? How expensive would milk be? Would milk or dairy be like a currency?

Yeah... these kinds of things are what I think about. I do think about much weirder stuff though. Let me know if you want to read about more random thoughts.
Have a nice day!
Kay bye.
