Emilia was sitting on my bedroom floor with her toys and a bottle of milk that she decided she would roll across the floor and get milk everywhere. I was sorting through some of her old clothes to give to charity. Emily was downstairs getting us something for lunch.

I sat down on the floor with Emilia as I waited on Emily. I tapped on the floor with my hands and she copied me while giggling. I continued tapping on the floor and she giggled the whole time.

I kissed the top of her head gently and got off the floor. I began piling more of Emilia's old clothes into boxes.

"Mama."

I looked down at Emilia and I couldn't believe it, at first I thought I was just hearing things. I lifted her up from the ground.

"Emily!" I shouted.

I lifted Emilia into the air.

"Did you just say mama?" I kissed her and she began giggling.

"Emily!" I shouted again.

"I'm here what's wrong?" Emily came running into the bedroom.

"She said mama." I smiled and held Emilia close.

"Are you sure? I mean she could have just been making noises."

"No I'm one hundred percent sure."

"Oh my god that is amazing." Emily wrapped her arms around Emilia and I. "I think that means that we should take lunch to go." Emily took Emilia out of my arms. "And we can go visit auntie Aria and auntie Spencer and auntie Hanna. Does that sound fun?"

Emilia smiled at Emily like she knew what she was saying.

"I don't know about Emilia but I think that sounds like a good idea. We can drop these boxes off the charity shop on the way."

"Sounds like a plan. I'll go get our lunch ready to go."

Alison texted everyone to meet at Aria's house as I drove. Alison spent the whole drive trying to get Emilia to say mama again with no luck. Everytime I had to stop the car I watched Alison as she played with Emilia. She looked so happy and it made me smile. This was the first time since my dad had died that I smiled without feeling guilty.

As I pulled up in to Aria's house I seen Hanna and Spencer's cars sitting outside and I pulled up behind them. I climbed out of the car and Alison got Emilia out of the car. Emilia's eyes were wide as she looked around. I grabbed a couple of Emilia's toys from the trunk of the car and we headed into the house.

Spencer, Hanna and Aria were all standing in the kitchen waiting on us. As soon as Aria seen us she ran over and took Emilia out of Alison's arms.

"Why did you want us to meet? Was A?" Spencer asked.

"Emilia said her first this morning." I couldn't hold in my excitement.

"That's amazing. What did she say?" Hanna was digging through the fridge.

"Mama." Alison smiled.

Aria began speaking to Emilia and Emilia was smiling as she concentrated on Aria's mouth.

"You know shes really quite advance for her age." Spencer pulled Hanna out of the fridge and got her some cheese.

"Really? I thought she would be saying a lot more by now." Hanna began making a sandwich.

"Hanna she is only nine months old." I looked at the other girls confused and they looked just as confused as me.

No one knew what else to say to that so we just didn't say anything.

"So how are you feeling about going back to school?"

"Nervous." Alison diverted her attention from Emilia. "Just not sure how I feel about leaving Emilia."

"She'll be fine with my mom." I put my arms around her waist and hugged her from behind.

I knew leaving Emilia wasn't the only reason Alison was nervous about going back to school.
