After cleaning up herself, A'Jreanna sat on Vadim bed trying to figure out what happened to him that he turned out like this.
What happened in the pass ten years for him to have people shooting at him, men bigger than his size scared of him, and him being so cold?' A'Jreanna thought to herself.
She knew that it's been ten years so of course he would have changed. But when A'Jreanna thought about change, she thought about good change, not bad change. Vadim being quiet and sometimes out of it was normal, but him being so cold and dark wasn't. It just wasn't him.
Maybe he's always been like that, maybe I just didn't see.' She thought to herself.
She tried to convince herself that was the reason why he was like that, but it just wasn't working. She knew that it was more to it, and she was going to figure.
She started to come up with different scenarios when the door burst open. She jumped so hard that she landed on the floor with a thump.
"She's crazy." She heard the person whisper.
A'Jreanna shot up to her feet and tried to play it off but it just made her look like a fool.
"Boss wants you." The lanky dude from earlier said walking away.
A'Jreanna took it as her cue to follow him. She closed the door and tried to catch up with his long strides.
"What's your name?" A'Jreanna asked.
"Maxim." He said as they walked down the steps.
A'Jreanna repeated his name over and over again to get a good feel, but she couldn't get used to it. She was just going to stick with the name she gave him, Lanky Cranky or Lanky for short.
Lanky walked the hall where A'Jreanna was originally supposed to go. He didn't make any turns and instead walked down the long hall. A'Jreanna made note of everything just incase she needed to escape.
She was so caught up in thinking about her escape that she didn't notice that Lanky stopped. A'Jreanna bumped right into him, luckily her nose wasn't the first thing to be squished.
Maxim turned around and gave her a hard glare before knocking on the door. "Come in." Vadim groaned.
Lanky opened the door for A'Jreanna. She was was hesitant to walk inside so Lanky shoved her in. She turned around and glared at him but he didn't pay it any mind. He rolled his eyes and closed the door.
