***Cameron's P.O.V.***
Nash and I entertain Ashton and Ellie for a little bit. Nash bounces Ashton up and down while I roll on the floor with Ellie. "Ready...GO!" I say as I spin on the ground next to Ellie. She giggles and taps my head, still laying on the ground. Nash places Ashton on the floor and lays down on his stomach.
"This is surprisingly fun," he laughs.
"Playing with kids has always been fun to me," I chuckle at Ellie as her hair sticks to the carpet, due to static electricity. I hear a ring and pull out my phone. Ignoring the call, I just put it on silent and slide it back into my pocket.
I go back to playing with the kids with Nash. Ashton squeals when Ellie makes silly faces at him. "They seem to get along." Nash nudges me and winks.
"Maybe they'll become best friends!" I joke back. We play with them for about two hours.
"It's been a while, has Des or Hayes called you?" he asks. I pull out my phone and look at it.
"Shit," I mutter under my breath, when I notice that I have ten missed calls from Hayes and six texts. I quickly dial his number.
"Cameron! Why aren't you answering!" Hayes yells when he answers my call.
"I'm watching the kids and my phone was in silent, what's wrong?"
"Desserea and I were on our way t get boxes, when a car hit the drivers side. I'm fine, but Des is being taken by the ambulance." fear crawls through his sentences as they collaborated together.
"I'm on my way!" I hang up and grab my keys. Nash stops me and gives me a worried look.
"Des and Hayes were in a car crash. Hayes is fine, but Des isn't. We have to go meet Hayes at the hospital." he nods and asks Grace and Alandra to watch the kids. When we get to the hospital, Hayes waits in the waiting room, leg shaking erratically. I rush over to him.
"Where is she?" I speak so fast that even I could barely understand what I said. It's not just Des that's life is on the line, our baby as well. If Des dies, so will the baby. I can't risk loosing either or them. Des is in enough pain and pressure worrying about the baby, but now she's gonna have to worry about recovering from the crash as well.
That's when the doctor comes out. He points at me and tells me to come here. I feel like all the doctors know Des and I cause we've come here a lot lately. I trudge towards him with my head down. "Don't worry, we were able to save your wife and the baby. And just to check on the baby, we will do an ultrasound tonight." my heart leaps and I drop my shoulders in relief.
When I walk into the room, I see her laying on her back rubbing her baby bump. "Desserea, thank god you are okay," I run over to her side.
"Cam," she whispers in a weak voice, as I choke on tears. Her cheeks are damp and wet from crying, and probably from the pain.
"Yes sweetheart?"
"It hurts," she sniffles, while tracing her fingers over her small bump. I feel so bad for Desserea. If I could, I would trade places with her in a heart beat.
"Aww I'm sorry," I kiss it lightly trying not to hurt her anymore," Where does it hurt the most?".
She points at her stomach and starts to cry," I feel like the baby's hurting. All I've felt is the baby kicking like crazy, it hurts and it scares me.".
"Shh, it's okay. The doctor said the baby is fine. They are gonna do an ultrasound tonight just to make sure." I kiss her hand. "Can I talk to the baby for a moment?".
"Of course," she says while laying back down flat on her back. I move my head close to her stomach and start to whisper.
"Hi sweetie, it's your Daddy again. I hope your feeling better after what happened. I can't wait to see you tonight. I love you so much, and I promise that this is last time something like this will happen." I place my hand on her stomach and feel the baby kick a few times. Des smiles and goes to speak, but is interrupted by the nurse.
"Desserea, it's time for your ultrasound. Would you like to come Cameron?" I nod and walk with Desserea and the nurse to a room across the hall.
The nurse directs Desserea to a chair in the center of the room and has her lift up the bottom of her shirt. She looks so cute with her little baby bump sticking out. She rubs a gel like substance on Desserea's stomach and tells her to just relax.
"It's gonna be okay babe," I say, as her hand gets tighter as it's latched to mine.
"I'm just scared," she stutters. I get her to calm down and the nurse starts the ultrasound. We watch the screen as the nurse continues to do the ultrasound.
"Your baby is perfectly fine. Would you guys like to know if it's a boy or a girl?" She asks us. I glance at Desserea and she gives a slow nod.
"Okay," she does a few things and then smiles," Congratulations, you will be having a baby girl!". I smile and give Des a kiss on the cheek. Des has her eyes locked on the screen as she stares at our baby.
On our way home, Desserea and I sit in the back of the car while Nash and Hayes sit in the front. "What are we gonna do about the car?" she asks.
"We'll worry about that later." I say, trying not to have her stress too much cause too much stress can hurt the baby.
She jolts upward a little bit and then places her hand on her stomach. "Everything okay?" I ask.
"Yeah, just another kick." Her voice wonders off, as she looks out the window.
"Babe," I lace our fingers together," Are you okay?".
"My stomach hurts every time the baby kicks from the accident, that's it." Her voice crackles and shatters in pain. A few bruises line her arms and legs and some scratches mark her body. But she still looks beautiful.
When we get out of the car, I suddenly hear loud thud. I rush over to Desserea, and find her passed out on the ground. "Desserea!" I scream as loud as I can. My screams are so loud, that they could pierce your veins instantly. "Wake up! Please wake up! Desserea! Answer me! Fucking answer me!" I sob while screaming.
Her eyes just stay shut, and her body stays motionless. This can't be happening, not now. I have a feeling that our new baby girl might not make it here.
Hey guys. So yeah. I didn't reread this chapter so don't make fun if I have spelling errors.
