***Cameron's P.O.V.***

I continue to keep my speed. "Nash be ready to get rear-ended!" I shout.

"What?" he screams back, "Cameron we could be killed in an instant!"

"I'd rather die trying to protect my family, than live knowing I failed at my job." I slam on the breaks. Instantly the car behind me smashes into us. Shattered glass from the front flys everywhere and all the airbags deploy.

The ringing noise comes back, but this time my neck is snapped into a position that I'm too weak to fix. Nash isn't even in the car anymore. All I see is his window smashed open, as if he flew out the window. My lip bleeds as I gasp for air.

A hand yanks me out of the car and I land on the pavement. I sit up and find Nash kneeling down by me. "Thank God we survived." he breathes. I nod and look at the other car- it's smashed completely.

"Nobody could survive that kind of a crash in their car." Nash adds softly.

"Well, I guess we're walking home." I sigh, rubbing my head. The impact wasn't as hard as I had expected, but it still hurt.

I briskly walk with Nash in silence for a while, I think we both are still to shaken up to talk. "Nash," I brake the silence.

"Yes, Cameron?" he speaks back quietly, almost like he's worried for me.

"I just want to thank you, for everything. You've helped me go through things my whole life, especially in the past two years." I barely smile, casting my eyes on the ground.

"Cam," he places a hand on my shoulder,"You don't need to thank me for anything. That's what friends are for, right?" he adds a sympathetic smile at the end.

I smile and continue walking until we finally get to the house, or should I say mansion. The house is two stories high but three house wide. I almost smile at the thought of actually living in it.

"How'd we afford this?" Nash gapes open his mouth, stunned by the size of the house and it's beach view.

"Everyone chipped in a little, that's why Grace kept asking you for fifty dollars or more." I walk into the house, and immediately Ellie comes running to me. Bouncing on her heels like a kangaroo.

She tugs on my shirt and pulls me towards one of the rooms,"Okay baby girl, slow down a little."

"Cam," Des hugs me when Ellie and I almost pass by her. I stop in my tracks and hug her back. She let's out a small gasp and carefully touches my bleeding lip and black eye,"What happened? Is everything okay?"

Her words were slow, as if the questions were being rephrased in her mind while speaking. "Yes, babe I'm fine. Just a little accident, that's all." I look at her with a smile plastered on my face.

"I was so worried," she looks down,"We don't need anything worse to happen."

"I know we don't Des," I softly smile and lift her chin with my finger,"Everything is going to be okay now. All the drama, the fighting, the trouble, it's all done now."

"Okay," she replies softly and looks away,"I think uh- Ellie wants to show you the house."

I nod and let Ellie take me through the house. She's grown so much, but it feels horrible. She never got to grow up like a normal kid would. It's almost, unfair to Ellie.

"Cam," I hear a soft voice behind me. I look and see Grace with a surprised look on her face.

"Yes?" I ask her carefully. Her eyes seem almost worried.

"Is Des okay?" she asks me slowly,"She can't sit still and keeps moving around weirdly, she's been doing that the whole time we've been here."

"I'll go ask her what's wrong but it's probably nothing." I walk out to go see Des, who's in the kitchen. She sits on the floor with her legs curling up against her, and her arms wrap around her stomach tightly.

"Des," I rush over to her and pick her up,"What's wrong, does it hurt?"

"No," she says with an uneasy breath,"I think-" She's cut off by a spill of water on the ground.

Yup. That's it for this chapter. Please vote and comment! Love you all!
