NON SPOILER REVIEW:

I rated this drama 3.5 even though I genuinely enjoyed it. The storyline is really good, however I didn't quite like how things ended. The effects they used on some things, I think were a bit lame. It's a romcom fantasy, so it might be up to your taste if that's what you're looking for.

I watched this drama because I haven't subscribed to Viki then and it's available on Netflix.

I thought it would be some scary, horror drama but I don't even know why I thought that when every kdrama with ghosts aren't even scary at all. Hahaha

Anyway, I really enjoyed this drama. I liked their idea of fake love through the Geumganggo. But as usual, with ghost dramas, it was mostly about helping ghosts or banishing evil spirits. Still, I quite liked the story of every character; Ma Hwang (Devil King) who used to be crueler and stronger. Son Ogong who's always been selfish and cruel. Summer Fairy and General Winter's story. (PS. I really hate that they killed off Summer Fairy).

I'm going to talk about PK and Richie (Jung Sera) first because they're two of the characters I loved the most. Can I just say that I'm really annoyed that Asanyeo had to take Richie's body of all bodies available in the drama? Ugh. I admit I was quite annoyed with PK's selfishness when it comes to Richie but I guess that's what pulled my heartstrings when Richie totally disappeared. They were really fond of each other :(

Anyway, I also liked watching how these 'monsters' changed into something better, how they learned to care for each other even though most of the time they bicker. *coughs* devil king *coughs* son ogong

Remember when Ogong took some of those falling stars so that Ma Hwang would endure less of them? :') Dang. That monkey has a heart, indeed.

And I also like the plot twistㅡabout Ma Hwang's son. I really wanted to see more of their story.

About Samjang and Son Ogong, man, they have a complicated love story. Lol. I did enjoy their story too but what really disappointed me in this drama is this: they made it seem so hard.

They made it seem so hard to save the world, including flying rockets, earth destruction, etc. They made it seem like Samjang is SO important. The drama had that heavy feeling, you know. BUTㅡ

• Samjang died so easily. I find it lame how she couldn't fight Kang Dae Sung for five minutes. She died in a second. Lol

• The effects used for the dragon is also lame. It looked cartoonized.

• The way the dragon was killed is also lame. I was expecting battles, you know. I was expecting a bloody battle to save the world but all Son Ogong had to do was aim the sword towards the dragon.

Maybe it's my fault for having high expectations but I really think the drama was pushing us to that directionㅡto some heavy and difficult battle.

Also, everyone in the Spritual Realm is an a$$hole. They don't deserve to be there. What the heck.

The ending of this drama was also quite vague or maybe it was just me. But oh well, the world was saved and Ogong was going to Jin Seon Mi. All is well.
