Enjoy! -T
We were lying in bed without a stitch of clothing on watching re-runs of old shows when there was a bang on my door.
"Jayde!" Gavin screamed. I saw Trey grimace beside me and giggled.
"Yes?" I called back.
"Open the door! Kent called!" He yelled enthusiastically.
"I'm naked!" I yell and laughed when the knocks stopped abruptly.
"Oh."
"Can you please shoo so I can talk to Gavin? I'll call you when we're done talking," I say as I turn to Trey.
"Fine," he replies with a pout and just disappears.
I don on a robe and hurriedly run to open the door.
"I thought Captain was in there," Gavin says relieved, scratching his head and I laugh at how accurate he unknowingly is.
"So, what's up with Kent?" I asked as we collapsed on my bed.
"They're getting in tonight and they want to meet up and have dinner." I can tell Gavin is excited by the huge grin plastered on his face. Kent was a professional basketball player and whenever his work brought him anywhere near us he always made it a point to see Gavin. They both had a crush on each other and it was endearing to see.
"Where to?" I ask as I play with Gavin's hair.
"No clue, he said I could pick wherever. Where to?" I ask as I play with Gavin's hair.
"No clue, he said I could pick wherever. You should bring Trey," he suggests.
"Perfect! It'll be a double date," I sheepishly say not mentioning that I had already told Trey he could come.
"So how are you two? It seems like you two can't be separated," Gavin observed.
"I know, and I'm really sorry if I've abandoned you. He just never wants us to be apart."
"That's alright. I'm actually really happy for you. You deserve this. It's clear he loves you and I wouldn't want anything less for you," he says and I have to hold back tears. This is why Gavin and I always got along. We genuinely wanted the best for each other.
"Thanks Gav, but you know I'm always here if you need anything. Trey can suck it up, but I'm here whenever you need me. For anything," I finish and jump on him to hug him.
"Thanks Pumpkin, I love you. You know that."
"I do," I say quietly.
"Now, what are you wearing?" I ask as we get off my bed and excitedly make our way to his room to pick out an outfit.
"So, I kind of forgot to mention this butttttttt.....Kentwantsmetostaywithhimwhileheshere," he says so quickly that I wouldn't have understood if I didn't know him like the back of my hand. I scream and start jumping on his bed.
"What! How do you forget to mention that to your best friend?! You're staying with him? Oh my goodness! Finally! Name your babies after me," I say the last part with a sigh and place my hand on my forehead as I dramatically fall back on his bed.
"Whatever! At the rate you're going you'll have a baby before I do," he mumbles as he starts dumping clothes on me. I reach back and throw a pillow at him earning a "hey" as it hit him.
"When are you going to admit that you and Kent are madly in love with each other? You guys have been doing this for three years. What's the holdup" I ask.
"Well, it's mostly me. He wants to move into the next stage, but I'm scared."
"Of what?" I ask.
"Mostly of what other people will think," he admits dejectedly.
"Listen Gav, at the end of the day, you're the one who's going to be living with the consequences of your actions. I say be happy, live your life, and love the guy that loves you. It won't matter what anyone thinks as long as you know that everyone who loves you is rooting for you."
"I love you so much. You're right. I'll let him know," he says as he strangles me with his hug.
"Love you too Gavy. Now get your guy and have a happily ever after. You out of everyone deserve it."
Gavin and I continue packing clothes for him and picking outfits when my phone buzzes. I look at it and see that it's Trey.
"Hi," I answer.
"Hey baby, I miss you. Can I get you now?" he asks.
"I guess you can," I answer with an amused smile. We've only been apart for 3 hours.
"I'm transporting right now," he says and I squeal.
"Gotta go Gav! Trey's here," I yell as I dash out of his room and into mine. No sooner do I enter when I'm tackled to my bed. My phone lies forgotten somewhere as my man looms over me.
"I missed you too," I manage to mumble as his lips come crashing down on mine.
"New rule. No more than two hours apart," he states.
"You're being unreasonable," I point out.
"I don't care."
Before I know what's happening I'm transported to his house and I feel the sheets of his bed and his scent engulfs me.
"I love your bed," I mumble as I nuzzle his neck.
"It's ours. Everything here is ours. Everything I own is yours," he whispers in my ear as he peppers my face with kisses.
"Isn't this too soon?" I ask him worriedly.
"No baby, I've waited for you for what seems like a million years. I'm done waiting. We aren't basing our relationship to other people's standards. It's between you and me, and we know what we feel." I agree with him and pull him for a kiss to voice my agreement.
"What have you been up to since I've left?" I asked.
"Meetings," he grumbles, making me smile.
"Do you need a secretary?" I ask jokingly and smirk at him.
"I need something alright," he growls and I squeal as he makes quick work of our clothes.
