"Where the hell are the doctors? My fiancé is unconscious. If someone isn't here in the next minute, I'm pulling funds from this hospital," I hear Trey's angry commands and when I groan when I open my eyes.
"Jayde? Baby, wake up for me love," Trey coaxes and I slowly blink my eyes open to see him hovering over me with nurses frantically running around him. All of a sudden the previous events all come surging back into my memory and my eyes widen.
"Oh my goodness. A baby. Are they sure? Are you mad? Oh my goodness, I'm going to be a single mom. You're mad. Oh no. Oh"- my ramblings were cut off when Trey scooped me up into his arms, his eyes glowing and his chest rumbling.
"Mate. Listen to us when we say this is the greatest gift you could have given us. We will go through this together and I never want to hear you utter that you'll be doing this alone. I would never be angry at you. You are the best thing that has happened and this is nothing short of a celebration love," he finishes and captures my mouth in a searing kiss. I melt into his embrace and wrap my arms around his shoulders.
"This is how you got me pregnant in the first place," I accuse him. His eyes are still partially glowing and he flashes me the most wolfish smile.
"Of course it is. All a part of my plans for our future," he says.
"You planned this?" I accuse him with a glare.
"More or less. Are you mad at me?" he asks while nuzzling my neck.
"Not really. Well not at all, but people are going to assume you're marrying me because I'm pregnant," I tell him.
"So? Hate to break it to you baby, but you must have gotten pregnant right as I left. I didn't smell the change on you until I came back. If anyone dares to suggest that to you, they'll personally answer to me. Besides, you know I'm marrying you because I love you madly."
All the doubts and fears I may have had all faded when he told me that. This was our life and I had to live it for us and not anyone else.
"You're right. I can't believe I'm going to be a mom. How long will I be pregnant for?" I ask out of curiosity.
"A regular term, but our family has always delivered around 7 months. We're big boys," he says and wags his eyebrows at me. I roll my eyes and laugh at him.
"I can't believe we're having a baby. Did you tell anyone?" I asked.
"No, I wanted to ask you when you wanted to share that information to everyone."
"Thank you," I reply and give him a kiss, which of course gets out of hand when he deepens it.
"Thank you baby. You're making everything I've ever wanted and needed come true. I need to marry you immediately," he announces.
"Immediately? Why?" I ask confusedly.
"We're having a baby. It's not out of a sense of duty; it's just my personal desire to marry you before we have the baby. I want you to have my last name before Junior comes out," he reasons.
"What if I don't want to?" I ask defiantly.
"I'm not taking no for an answer." We stare each other down for a while before I break it.
"You're lucky I want to marry you," I say sassily.
"I know baby. Trust me, I know. I wake up every day knowing I'm the luckiest man out there." I lean in again and capture his mouth in a heated kiss. I hear a throat clear and I see the doctor back awkwardly standing there.
"Sorry to interrupt Your Highnesses. I heard you had a feinting spell. Are you alright?" she asked.
"It took you long enough. If something had happened to her, all of you would have had to answer to me," Trey growled. I place my hand on his chest and he looks at me, calming.
"I apologize for that again. Would you guys like to make a follow up appointment for the following weeks for the growing baby?" she asked.
"I supposed. I shall call in for that soon." With that, he dismissed her without so much as a word.
"Stop scaring everyone," I admonished him.
"No. She should have been here the minute you feinted. No excuses. So how do you feel about getting married tomorrow?" he asked casually.
"Trey Crestwell! I am not marrying you tomorrow," I exclaim.
"Why not? How about two days from now?" he fished. I give him an incredulous look and shift in his lap, trying to get off. Of course, he was having none of that and secures me on his lap.
"Trey! No! I will be calling you mom about this," I threatened him.
"Come on now baby. You know she'll have the grands all over me. How about we agree to a date and we tell them it's what we want? She'll agree to whatever you want. Please," he pleads and stares me down before he moves in for the kill. His kisses are relentless and I have to physically push him away, granted he allowed me to, so it wouldn't go further that.
I roll my eyes and glare at him before giving in.
"A week," I declare. His eyes light up and he makes a move to kiss me again.
"Stop! Get me out of here before you maul me," I warn.
"Your wish is my command." With that, he transports us straight into our room.
