Chapter 5: Drug Bust!

THREE DAYS LATER...

Palisades, Lunar City Area: July 23rd 2020: 4:30 PM

Funny thing about designer drugs, just like any drug they always end up on the street in the illegal drug trade.

A few weeks after "Frenzy" had been made available, the underground drug trade of the city got a hold of it and began pushing it AND splicing it with other drugs to see what they could make from it.

The Frost Giants, a gang based in the palisades area that worked as the overseers and manufacturers of the east Lunar drug market.

They got their name from being originally the biggest dealers of snow (crystal meth) in Lunar City during the Brain of Crime's rule over the criminal underworld of Lunar City before branching out into other markets.

They ran the biggest drug labs in the city, of the unofficial 'cook in your garage' type of drug lab.

The LCPD had been trying to find these guys and their elusive drug lab for over five years, their investigation had been slowed by both Dark Shadow's actions and the corrupt cops on his payroll screwing up the investigation for a cut of the funds.

Now that Dark Shadow was dead and Shadow Knight had his own hand in the department via the Special Crimes Unit, all bets were off.

It was only a matter of time before they would be found out.

But they didn't know that, and they didn't care either if they did find out about that.

Criminals who have lasted this long because of the state of corruption in the city and the lopsidedness of the Law before the Knight of the Night returned and made this alliance with the good cops in the LCPD believed they were untouchable.

Especially with some of the LCPD officers working this area of the suburban area of the palisades who just happened to be on the take working protection for the labs and the shipments tonight here in the palisades.

Instead of going around patrolling the area looking for signs of trouble like they should, they were looking for signs of any fellow cops, PI's or other gang members trying to get in to this area.

"Paradise Lookout"

An under construction gated community project that had been put on hold indefinitely when the construction company building it went bankrupt when ties to Dorian Finch's "business dealings" caused the company to lose business due to being associated with a criminal kingpin/terrorist.

Causing to company to cut its loses and be assimilated by other construction companies in order to survive the scandal the Brain of Crime had placed on them, and as a result the housing project was put on hiatus until legal matters were settled over whether to continue development or tear it down due to having been funded by blood money.

Thus "Paradise" had been lost to the public, and left to be claimed by the vile serpent of crime that already laid its claim to the city through the criminal underworld.

With the wall having been completed, the place was VERY appealing to criminals wanting a place perfect for something underhanded to be done away from prying eyes or the part of the law that wasn't corrupt in Lunar City's Law and Order system.

Criminals who saw an opportunity in a place like this would take it and use it for such an end, which is what the Frost Giants did.

No one knew that "Paradise Lookout" had been re-purposed by the criminal underworld for almost two years or for what purpose it was being used for...until now.

Down the road from the housing complexes of "Paradise Lookout", a string of cars approached.

Once past the picket line of circling cop cars and passing through the front gates of the community, the cars traveled to one of the unclaimed houses on the block.
