Golden Freddy slammed me down onto the sidewalk and stepped on my chest to hold me down. We were near the pizzeria, just a short distance away. I suppose he believed no one was brave enough to come and stop him.
"You know, I really don't like animatronics who...ruffle my fur, so to say. I was like that when I was alive, too." He said, leaning forward. I chuckled wheezily.
"Then you were quite the pathetic brat when you were alive." I rasped. He let out a shorter, animatronic roar and pressed down more. I tried to get his leg off of me, but whenever I did, he'd shove his foot into my chest and knock the breath out of me.
"Worthless, worthless, worthless...after Nightmare Freddy died, my eyes were opened. We're a lot more fragile than I thought. We ghosts just keep getting dealt a bad hand, one after the other. It really manages to...decay our hearts." He hissed. Just as I figured. Golden Freddy was indeed becoming corrupt, but where? In his mind, heart, both?
I had to time to react, as he spoke again and shoved his foot deep into my torso.
"I'm going to leave you for dead." He muttered. He then rose his foot and barreled his heel toward my head, and the world became dark.
I awoke again in the woods, Golden Freddy having his arms wrapped around my feet as he dragged me through. The leaves swished and crunched beneath us, and I was surprised no humans had caught us.
He suddenly stopped and looked around, before dropping my feet and looking at me. He saw that I was awake but I didn't say a word.
"Don't come back if you're still alive." He threateningly said. He then spat on my face and disappeared into thin air.
I stood up and looked around, the forest silent. The clouds in the sky blocked out any light, and the breeze shook the near-bare trees. I knew what loneliness felt like, but this...this was pure isolation. No one around, no one to save me, no one to hear me.
Of course, that is what I thought.
I heard footsteps behind me and I veered around, both scared and trying to threaten, but it was clear I was obviously terrified. I took a step back, wanting to know if I needed a head start to run.
But to...somewhat of my relief, it was the Nightmarionne, stepping with such grace and sincerity. He approached me, standing up straight with his arms behind his back.
"Seems like you're always in my neck of the woods." He chuckled. I stopped holding my breath but it was caught again as he grabbed my face with his long, spindly fingers and made me face him.
"Why are you out here, Shadow Freddy? Why isn't Nightmare dead? Why haven't you taken over?" He hissed. I started shaking. It was like this puppet had a pure aura of dread around him, injecting fear into anyone who was near him.
"It's been hard, Nightmarionne, I've been trying to gain their trust, but Golden Freddy-" He squeezed my face before I could continue, and I felt pain around my cheeks and forehead.
"Golden Freddy." He basically spat out the name. He let go of me, and I didn't realized I was lifted into the air as I was dropped down.
"What is...wrong with him? The one I'm familiar with was willing to die for his comrades. Now he's willing to let them die for him." I asked, brushing myself off. The Nightmarionne stroked his chin, his other hand fiddling with his fingers.
"Golden Freddy...acting odd, wanting others dead for his own gain, seems to be losing his heart..." He smiled as he stood up straight again and looked at me. I looked to the side and then back up at him.
