For the past few days, all I'm doing is to spend my time studying for thirty minutes, then, take a break for another thirty minutes which involves staring at Emily's picture on the locket I bought. At least this locket has something I can look at in comparison to the pocket watch. Though, I kind of wish she remembers me whenever she looks at it.
As for my father, he won the election. That's great. We have no reason to stop coming to the orphanage. He's been busy to meetings and interviews since then. And he also stopped dragging me around to show everybody he's so family-oriented, using my finals as excuse – a Grade 2 finals as excuse. It's easy even to me. It makes me look so dumb when he says it that way.
But nothing's long-lasting about this family anyway.
Mom used to cook for me before. She's so good in cooking, people actually asks if she'd finished culinary. I'm not sure if they mean that or they just sucking to my mom but the fact doesn't change. Mom's good at cooking. Every day, even if she's busy, she would prepare breakfast, all which is wonderfully made. But time passes by, and she stopped cooking and orders food instead. So, my first best friend is the microwave oven. Now, she stops ordering food too and just leaves money on the table.
That is a downright depressing development but yeah... I don't have a choice but to drift along with the wave and stop fussing about the family bullshits. I should consider myself lucky that I'm not an orphan. Although, we're somewhat alike. Our biological parents didn't like us. It's just that my parents shouldn't abandon me because they care of what people say
By the way, once again I'm not being histrionic. I'm not bitter or something. I totally respect their lifestyle. They can do what they want, sure. As long as they let me do what I want, there isn't going to be a problem.
Dad never actually says anything about how I love this Emily. He still informs me whenever he has to visit the orphanage because he knows that I could totally kill if they didn't tell me.
