Third POV
Harry stared at the letter for longer than necessary. The thoughts running through his brain so scattered that not even he could understand half of them. He stood up, faintly aware of the throbbing still present in his lower back and head. Harry was a bit nervous at the fact that he still hadn't heard the Dursley's yet. He attempted the door and was surprised to find it unlocked. Curiously and hesitantly, he walked out, worried and on guard in case it was another trap for him. Harry was faintly aware in the back of his mind that this should not be happening, that something was wrong, and that he should see just owl for help. But as that thought crossed his mind, he heard a noise. Very faint and weak, but it was still a noise, so he started down the stairs. As he made his way down the short hall towards the kitchen, the faint noise slowly got louder and louder. As Harry pushed the door open slowly, he was met by a shock. There were no Dursleys. A note lay upon the gleaming countertop, and besides that was the cause of his shock. A small bloody snake lay beside the letter with its poor head resting upon the note. Harry felt some unknown force rise and him, and ignoring the still ever-present throbbing; he rushed towards the snake. Finding that it was still somehow alive, he closed his eyes and focused his magic around the snake. When Harry felt the magic receding, he opened his eyes. The snake was perfectly fine and was slinking around slowly in his hands. *Hello What is your name?* Harry lightly hissed. The snake, which upon closer inspection, was a dark blue and green color with little flecks of gold throughout the whole body. The snake reared up its head and gazed at Harry with intelligent Goldeyes. *Speaker?* It softly hissed at him. *Yes, I am a speaker. What is your name little one?* Harry replied, watching as the snake seemed to travel up his arm. *Isla speaker* she hissed as she slowly wrapped her body around his neck hanging on him like a necklace. He sighed, * Harry*Harry now picked up the note on the counter, and read. The Dursley's went to a very prestigious hotel and village to accept an award for Vernon's company. Dudley was the one who left the snake. With them gone, Harry decided to take a shower for the first time since Vernon started raping and beating him. But before he could, he saw a glimpse of himself in the mirror and flipped. He had small, fluffy, black cat ears on the top of his now chocolate brown, shoulder-length hair. His eyes were now split vertically like a cats and had a faint glow that showed the black specks in his now Avada Kedavra green eyes. He was smaller, dropping down from 5'6 to 5'1-ish (he just guessed). Harry thought that he was going insane when all of a sudden, he noticed he had a tail- A TAIL! Forgoing the shower completely, he rushed back to his room and changed quickly and grabbed his letter from Gringotts. Whispering with all the hope he had left, "Goldflow," A quick tug at his navel and a hard crash into the floor that left him gasping in pain was his warning that he had made it. He had left the Dursleys, and for one quick moment, he rejoiced, but it was short-lived as he realized that he had landed in the middle of the floor on a Saturday packed with wizards all staring at him.
