When all is lost eat chocolate

Third POV
By morning all those in the Slytherin common room were well rested and ready to face the day. Many had made their piece with death but still held hope that they would win.
Hadrian woke with a half a dozen blankets wrapped around him in an endless encasing burrito.
"Dray?" He whined softly, trying to wiggle his way out of the blanket burrito.
"Hadrian? What are you doing up? You should be recovering? What was going through your mind? You were freezing!" Draco immediately encased Hadrian in his arms and tightened his grip on him as he whispered harshly into Hadrian's ear.
Hadrian shivered at the slight growl before replying softly, " I don't know... I just I wanted everything to stop."

Most of the professors were up and sneaking the other housed kids out into their own dorms. Making sure that Dumbledore didn't notice them was hard enough, but it seemed that it could only get worse as half of the creatures had met their mates and didn't want to separate. This led to some "small" arguments and threats while sneaking in the halls. Tom was laying in bed thinking of all that he had been through. Severus had left to find Hadrian as he had woken up in the middle of the night in pain and according to him, " it's mother's intuition I know somethings wrong"
Tom knee that he needed to get up and yet he couldn't find the energy to do so.

Blaise laid content between his mates. He pushed all the worry and doubt away as he breathed in the scent of his two loves. They had taken down their glamours as soon as they were all alone and Blaise was shocked. The previously bright red hair that Weasley's (idk how to spell rn) were famously known for was gone. Instead George's hair turned a dark burgundy that fell in chin length waves which framed and highlighted his high cheekbones and button nose. His eyes now glowed in a bright baby blue partly hidden by his long lashes. But as Blaise examined his new mate he couldn't help but notice the difference between him and his twin. Fred was a beauty to behold, eyes wild and green, huge framed with thousands of soft, short lashes. His hair was wildly curly and midnight black, just barely brushing the middle of his ears. Fred was smaller and leaner. His body was petite and just he looked as strong and just as deadly as his tall, slightly muscled twin.
As Blaise laid between his newfound mates he took a moment to appreciate the rising sun that lighted the lake and in turn casted soft greens and blues making his mates appear in a new light.

Everyone
Draco sat on one of the couches near the fire with Hadrian curled into his side. Tom has claimed one of the armchairs and Severus has perched on one of the armrests. Blaise was in the other armchair his two mischievous mates sitting on the floor on either side of him. The newly introduced Sirius sat with Remus on his lap on the only loveseat in the little circle.
" I need to apologize to all of you." Hadrian whispered, his voice breaking the silence like a knife." Last night I tried to end everything by ending myself. You see, I thought that if I was dead then Dumb-ass-door wouldn't attack or would accept my death as enough. I want to apologize because although I still believe it would be the best decision, I am to selfish to say goodbye. And for that I must also thank you, for you all are the reason I do not want to say goodbye. I have been trying to live up to expectations since discovering who I am even though I didn't need too. I have allowed myself to betray who I truly am in order to take control and lead. I realize now that I cannot. And with that in mind I am going back to who I want to be. As I told everyone yes we must fight  and we will! But I will NOT be the main leader. I cannot have the responsibilities and burdens of everyone on me. It is not in my nature and to be honest it is not who I am."
Silence
For a minute
Then a couple
Before finally breaking with a low chuckle. And all heads turned to see the twins sharing the chuckle.
"Are you kidding me? You couldn't have lasted just another hour before breaking!" George whined before handing what looked like a good size money bag to Fred.
"Did you just bet on my sons ability to ..." Severus couldn't even finish he was so shocked. But not as shocked as the rest of the group when Hadrian just lost it and started full on laughing which led to Draco losing his composure and laughing with his mate.

By lunch the group was ready. They agreed to take lunch in the ROR and meet the other professors there. Many of the professors were on their side and wanted in on the planning of the battle.
"Okay here is what we have planned on as distractions ...."
" Once he reaches here we need..."
"It will be your groups job to get these students out , and yours to get these out ..."
"We cannot use these because of ..."
"The problem with this is the barriers..."
"How long do you..."
"Can we grab the..."
On and on it went before Hadrian realized it was time for dinner. As the professors had missed lunch it would be to suspicious if they also missed dinner. As the professors walked to the great hall Tom pulled Hadrian aside.
" I will be leaving with Sirius and Remus now. We cannot stay here for to long or else our magic will alert the headmaster. We will talk like we normally do and be visiting on the weekends. It's harder to get a hint of our magic on the weekends because of all the magic in the corridors from the students. I love you and I know you can do this." Tom said a little hesitant as he had a hard time telling how he felt. Hadrian knee this and answered in a crushing hug. He watched as Sirius and Remus practically slipped into the shadows and headed to Severus's room. His father winked one more time before following.
