O N E: What do they expect to find in my hoody?
"Ouch!!! James, what the hell?" I sat up immediately when my brother slapped me, just when I was about to fall asleep.
"Yeah, well... you were sleeping all peacefully and everything so I had to take the chance to disturb that", Jamie said with an annoying smirk on his stupid face.
"Why are you so immature?", I whined. I really needed all the sleep I could catch before stepping on the airplane, since I probably wouldn't be able to sleep during my flight.
"I'm older than you, Brooky, so that makes you even more immature", he told me with a proud look on his face.
"Well then act like you are older than me and not like you're a three year old kid."
"You shouldn't say anything, you are the one th—" "O wow, I really love this song, don't you guys love this song? I mean, listen to that beat, how does someone even make that up?", Damian interrupted him before Jamie could finish his sentence, which would probably have been some nasty comment about me.
"God Damian, way to be obvious man", Trevor, my third brother commented with a chuckle. "Oh, and Brooke", he continued, "since when do you call James by his real name?"
"Since he slapped me. And I was mad at him", I answered.
"Was? As in was, past tense, not now, Jamie is forgiven and we will not start a fight in the last hour I get to spend with you before you leave me behind?" Jamie asked with a grin on his face.
"Yeah yeah, was, you're forgiven, don't talk about yourself in third person because that's so weird, now tell me what caused you to slap me awake", I demanded.
"Well...", my question made him somewhat unconfortable, I was proud of myself for noticing this, I'm usually pretty oblivious to people's feelings, not now though. Yay. I feel like a mind reader.
I raised an eyebrow at him, trying to tell him to continiue, and it worked. My skills were improving with every minute I used them.
"Well, I kind of wanted to spend your last hour of you being in England with us talking to you, but that's impossible when you're asleep, so I decided to wake you up, but then I thought, why not slap her? because I won't be able to slap you in a very long time, you know, so I slapped you awake. And I might be admitting that I'm going to miss you terribly, I mean, you are the only person I can tease really." Jamie blushed after his ramble session and it was cute, kind of, as cute as Jamie could be...
"Awww", Trevor, Damian and I cooed simultaniously. Vincent, our driver, told us to behave as we flicked each other. He ruined our sibling moment.
So yes, I have been accepted into The Academy, and in two hours, I will be on the plane to Los Angeles. Alone. My dad hates that, because he really doesn't want me to do things without one of my brothers with me. But that isn't the reason that he isn't here today. Me and my dad are pretty close actually. He just had to leave for one of his many business trips so we already said our goodbyes three days ago. My mum is with him this time and i feel like she made sure that she didn't have to see me leave. I know she loves me and everything, but since I got the news that I was accepted into The Academy, she's been very distant.
"But Brooke, aren't you going to be all tired after tomorrow, I mean, not that it's my problem but studying and dancing with a jetlag isn't something I would want to do", Damian commented, probably because he wanted to be nice to Jamie by changing the subject.
"Yeah, the plane lands at 4:55 AM and I'll probably arrive at school around six in the morning, so I think I will be pretty exhausted, but I got the first day off so I could get enough sleep. My firs real schoolday there will be Thursday", I explained.
I was responded with a thumbs up.

"Oh my god, Damian, don't cry", I said while I hugged him. I myself was on the verge of tears, but I wasn't going to let them fall.
"He can't help that he's a baby, Brooke. Just accept that your brother is actually a sister." For this comment Trevor got a punch in his stomach from Damian.
I laughed and hugged him. "Just make sure that you don't make any girls pregnant when I'm gone, OK?" I whispered in his ear.
He laughed, "Only if you become best friends a with some hot American girls and bring them home for christmas so I can do them under the mistletoe."
I gagged as he winked, handing me my carry on. we started walking to the passport control. When it was my turn to show that I was the girl on the passport, I turned to my brothers for one last goodbye. I had to find the way by myself from now on.
And of course, when I had to walk through the portal thing, those annoying alarms went off and some creepy pedophile dude had to check my entire body. What do they expect to find in my hoody?? A bomb?
After they checked me and my carry on, I quickly stopped at a small shop to buy some snacks for during my journey, and went to the restrooms.
When I looked at myself in the mirror, I sighed. My flight hasn't even started yet and I already looked like crap. My face was inhumanly pale. Like a ghost. And there were dark circles under my eyes as a result of being too nervous to sleep last night. But there wasn't much I could do about it now. And since I'm incapable of sleeping in airplanes, they were probably going to get worse. After I quickly tied my hair up into a messy bun, I headed out of the restrooms.
I took my phone out of my pocket, seeing that I only had to wait fifteen more minutes before my plane would start departing, so I sat down, taking a picture to put in my story on snapchat and texting Rachel, my best friend.
When the gates finally opened, I switched my phone off and waited in the queue. I was one of the first people to get on the plane. And when I found my seat and sat down, I realised that I was really doing this.
I was really following Sydney's dreams.
