T W E N T Y F I V E: What about the birthday sex?
"Care to share?" I asked after I let out a yawn, running my fingers up and down Brad's arm.
"Hmm?" He asked after we sat in silence again for several seconds. Brad had been noticably more quiet tonight. We'd laid down on his bed about an hour ago, and started talking about whatever came to our mind, his arms wrapped around me and our legs intertwined. But it had been mostly me, who'd done the talking, I realised a bit later.
Locking my eyes with his, I sighed, "About why you're suddenly so quiet?"
"Just thinking", He murmured, leaving a few kisses on my collar bone.
I leaned back a bit, so I could look him in the eye again, "About?"
He groaned, tightening his arms around me, "I just... It's too early to talk about it."
After pulling myself away from him, I sat up and crossed my arms, "What is it?" I was aware of the fact that Brad wasn't particularly keen on sharing information with anyone, but it started to annoy me now. I was his girlfriend for god's sake, it wouldn't be too bad if he'd actually tell me what he was thinking about.
"Believe me, you don't want to know."
He always did this. He always said things like, 'if I tell you, you'll regret asking me after you know'. But it couldn't be that bad, as long as he didn't kill anybody. "Try me."
Brad sighed, and eventually sat up beside me, "So my manager managed to arrange something."
"And?"
He rubbed his forehead repeatedly, "We're gonna go touring for a year, Brooke. I'm leaving after I finish this year here."
The news came like a slap in the face, but I managed to put a smile on my face anyway, "But that's good, right?" There was no way in hell I was going to hold him back from touring, so I had to make sure that he thought I was completely fine with it.
"But what about you?" He asked, cupping my face and with that, making the situation almost too cheesy to handle. I almost started laughing then and there.
I sighed, preparing myself for the speech I was about to give him, "Listen, it's fine that you're going to leave, because this is a great opportunity, and I don't want to keep you from taking it. And it's not like you're going to die. You're going on a tour, you're going to gain a lot of experience. That's a good thing, you know?" And as I said that, I realised that it was true. He wasn't stepping out of my life forever.
He closed his eyes and smiled, but it looked more like a grimace, "I won't be able to see you often."
Nodding, I replied, "I know, but we have Face time, and we can text. It's not like we'll never see each other anymore. And you know, I'm going back to England after next year anyway, so even if you weren't to go on tour, we still would've stumbled across this problem."
"Long distance relationships are tough, though."
I shrugged, "Yeah, we'll see how it works out, right? We don't have to decide what we're going to do right now, we still have like two months for that."
"In that case", He started, a smirk starting to grow on this face, "Can I have a kiss?"
Let's just say that he didn't have to ask that twice

A cool spring breeze blew some of my hair in front of my face, as I put my sunglasses on, blinding me for some time. It was still morning, and even though it was already May, mornings still were pretty cold, so I was wearing a jacket over my tank top.
