T H I R T E E N: Hurry up and help me find my panties

"Oh my god! Your face is tan! And your legs look skinnier!" Rachel said while hugging me.

"Wow Rach, that really boosts my self confidence." It was true though, in the 2 months of intense training, I had lost almost all the fat that I'd had on me before, making me look skinnier. However, I hadn't lost any weight, since I'd gained quite some muscle mass, I actually got a bit heavier.

"You know I mean fit, you were never fat", she laughed.

"Well, you still look the same, actually", I smiled at my strawberry blonde friend, letting go of her and looking at Vincent. "Hey Vince", I said with a small wave.

"Hey Brooklynn", he stood straight as always, "it's good to have you back here for a while."

We stood there, facing each other awkwardly for a few seconds, he sort of only worked for my dad after all, before I took two steps, walking in his arms. "I missed you."

He wrapped his arms around my back, "I missed you too Brooke. The boys did too. I'm dying to see their faces when they get home and you are there."

"Me too, when is Trevor coming?" I asked after I'd stepped away from him.

"He's actually been back for 4 days now. He said they didn't really do anything important at work anymore this week, and whatever he'd do, he would still be payed, so he decided to come home early."

I raised both my eyebrows, "I hadn't expected that from him."

"It was quite a surprise, yes", Vincent shrugged, "but it'll be nice to have you all together again."

I laughed as Rachel started speaking, "Can I say something too?" The girl looked hyper.

"Sure."

"You got a different accent too, it sounds weird."

"Of course my accent has changed", I rolled my eyes at her, "I've lived around Americans for two months. It's normal that I've kinda picked up their accent, even though I still don't really sound like them."

"I want that too", she pouted.

"Shame."

She sighed, a small smile on her mouth, "You're so insensitive."

"I know. You like that about me", I gave her a serious look. "Now, tell me what I've missed."

We walked outside the airport when Rachel started talking. It was cold, but not freezing, I guess it was about 50 degrees. The global warming was really making it's effects visible.

"Oh, and you remember Sophie, right?" She asked me.

"Miles?" I asked.

"Yeah, her. You know who she's becoming a thing with? You definitely won't believe it. It's hilarious", she said.

"Just tell me", I sighed. One of Rachel's talents was beating around the bush. She'd go on about something for ages without telling you what it was about. It usually got on my nerves.

"Archie Phillips!" She screeched and I almost choked on my own spit.

I started laughing and got inside the car. "Oh god, she must really be in love with him, to be able to put up with him."

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with Archie physically. I do appreciate his looks, but he just has some unconfirmed mental problems... Once, when he'd gotten angry, he'd punched a guy with a key in between his fingers, leaving these huge scars on his cheek and jaw. He's also known for throwing chairs at people he can't stand and people that make him mad. One day, Rachel and I were talking about the fact that you must be extremely screwed up in the head if you enjoyed watching those movies where there's a psycho that's torturing everybody and slowly killing his victims, and when Archie heard this, he thought it applied to him, and he threw a brick at my head. He missed it, fortunately, but it was close.
