Chapter Two ~ The message

It was a beautiful sunny day and I was stuck at school. It was biology class and I was stuck next to one of the most annoying girls in my year. I hadn't made any new friends since Becky had left, it was always me and her, and never anyone else we were always inseparable. I had kind of drifted into a daydream when I was woken immediately by my partner poking me in the elbow.

"What?" I said, snapping out of my daydream.

"I'm sorry am I boring you Miss Adams?" said Miss Lacoste in a sarcastic tone.

"No Miss" I said blushing 50 shades of red.

"Well then maybe you could focus a little bit more on my lesson?" she asked returning to the whiteboard.

I could feel everyone in the class staring at me with piercing eyes, I could hear them whispering.

"Have you heard from Becky?" said the second most popular girl in the school. She spoke in a whisper but loud enough for me to hear.

"Yes, of course, she DM'd me yesterday on twitter" was the girls reply.

I could feel tears brimming in my eyes, how could she? Just at that point the bell went to signal lunch, I grabbed my bags and sprinted out the classroom. I could hear the girls laughing. I rushed through the corridor out of the school doors and towards the gate. I delicately jumped over the gate, careful not to hurt myself. I checked no one saw me and continued down the road. Anger rising, I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and logged into my twitter, I quickly messaged Becky:

Hey Becks, Just wanted to message you and see if you were okay and getting on well at your new school, message me when you can. I miss you loads. Beth x

Just then I saw Becky tweet:

"Will you ever let go and leave me alone?"

I tweeted her saying: "Consider yourself forgotten"

I felt disappointed and angry; I walked to the park, threw my stuff on the bench, threw my phone on the floor, sat down and just cried. I knew things would never be the same again, my life was practically ruined. I sat for a while just staring at all the kids walking past, laughing and smiling. My phone then rang from on the floor. I picked it up and noticed it was Becky calling; I declined the call and just sat there. I logged back onto twitter to see a familiar face pop up in my notifications. I checked out the profile to see a girl follow me with her profile picture as a picture of Charlie and Leondre, I read her bio to see their twitter handle. I clicked on it and gave them a quick follow. Almost instantly I got a follow back, I thought to myself they were obviously active. The next minute I notice a DM from the boys themselves, I click onto it, my palms sweaty, my hands shaking.

"Hey princess, thankyou for the follow, I hope you're okay ~ Leo x"

I just sat there staring at my phone, someone actually asked me if I'm okay, the only person in months to ask me if I'm okay. I loved this boy already!

I DM'd him back saying: "Thankyou for the DM, I found your audition inspiring and I haven't been able to get hopeful out of my head, its amazing, well done x"

Almost instantly he replied: "Thankyou Beautiful, it means a lot, love you ~ Leo xxxx"

"I love you too x" I replied

I picked up my stuff and decided to head home, it had been a long and emotional day, little did I know what would happen later.
