The Girl From My Past

Kazuko's Past

"THEY ABANDONED ME WHEN I WAS JUST A KID!!! THEY HATED ME!!!! THEY NEVER LOVED ME!!!!!" she continued yelling. She couldn't handle it, it was too much pain. She fell on her knees with both hands on her face continuing crying. "Kazuko... I never knew that... h-how-?" Inuyasha was interrupted by her.

"My family was different... I hated humans because of them" she said between sobs.

Flashback

It was all peaceful and calm in a simple and small village where a couple was waiting for their daughter/son come to the world. When the mother gave birth, a female baby had born, however, she was different... she had wolf ears instead of human ones and a small and fluffy tail.

Her parents tried to get help in a temple but it was impossible since the monks and priestesses told them the same answer every single time...

"She was born like that, there's no way we can reverse the nature of someone"

Both parents were upset for this, they hate demons, and seeing their child as one of them was a nightmare, this poor girl was going to have a difficult life...

A few years later...

"Mommy! Mommy!" a 5 years old girl ran to her mother who was cooking dinner for the family. "What do you want Kazuko?" she said in a harsh tone. "Mommy! I got these flowers for you!" she handed them to her. "I don't want them" she said not looking at her. Kazuko looked at the floor sadly. She wondered why her mother was so harsh to her, she never did anything wrong, so why would they act like that?.

The little Kazuko put the flowers next to the small table while sitting there, waiting for the food. "When is dad coming back?" she asked. "I don't know Kazuko, just wait until he shows up" she answered. "Did you called me?" someone said. Kazuko and her mother looked at the door, and they saw her father standing there with a serious face, no emotion.

"Daddy!!!!" Kazuko ran and hugged him but his father just looked at other side disgusted waiting for her to let go. Her father was just like her mother, both were annoyed that their daughter was a demon.

Later, they find out what was the reason of why it happened this to her instead of believing she was cursed.

They already planned something for her, this was going to change Kazuko's life forever...

"Mommy is making dinner!!" she said excited. "That's great, however, do you remember what day is today?" he asked giving her a fake smile. She smiled sweetly. "It's my birthday!!!!" she jumped and hugged her dad again. He pushed her away slightly so it didn't seemed rude. "Yeah and your mother and I have a surprise for you after dinner" he rubbed her head.

After dinner, both parents took both hands of their daughter and took a walk in the mountains. Kazuko wondered why they were going too far from the village and decided to ask them. "Mommy! Daddy! Where are we going?". "We are almost there" they said.

After the long walk, they arrived in the deepest of the forest to find a giant wolf...

(Imagine it grey with yellow eyes).

"This girl... is my daughter" the father said loudly. kinda annoyed claiming she was his, to get the wolf's attention. "And she looks like this because of you!!" he pointed at him, Kazuko started to feel fear and backed away but her mother grabbed her shoulders to not let her escape, then her father grabbed her wrist.

"She must stay with her specie" he threw the girl to the wolf who got her with one of its paws, Kazuko looked at her dad and started crying. "Daddy!! What is happening?" she asked. "Don't call me 'daddy', you freak!" he yelled. "You are not human like us!!! You should stay with the monsters that created you"

Kazuko couldn't believe what was happening, listening those words from her own father.

The father gave the wolf a death glare. "She is your granddaughter... take care of her since she is also related to you by blood" he started to walk away with his wife.

"Daddy!!! Mommy!!! Please don't leave me!!!! I don't want you to go!!!" Kazuko hold their clothes but her mother suddenly slapped her making her fall on the ground. "We are not your parents!!! Forget everything about us!!! We never wanted a daughter like you!!!! We don't even know why we were punished to have a demon as our child, and we actually don't care anymore!!! YOU ARE A MONSTER!!!!!" she yelled. Kazuko was petrified for that slap she got and those painful words.

She always tried her best to smile at home, but outside, she was bullied by the kids of the village and there were times that their parents threw rocks to her yelling "monster" or "demon".

The parents disappeared and she started to cry loudly letting all the tears she gained from the pain fall.

The wolf was concerned about what happened to the girl, he didn't knew what to do, and less knowing that she was his granddaughter, YEAH! GRANDDAUGHTER!!! That horrible man who is her father was the son of this demon, and he is a complete human!!!.

The wolf decided to change its appearance into a more human one

He walked to her, kneeled down, and he placed hand on her back.

"Little girl..." he said. Kazuko looked at him and backed away. "W-What? W-Who are you?!? H-How did you...?!?!" there was so many questions to ask.

"Listen, little girl... my name is Okami Kane, may I ask what's yours?" he asked. "K-Kazuko" she said still sobbing, Okami nodded. "As you can see, I'm going to be your protector from now on" he said. "W-Why? What abou mommy and daddy?!?!? Why did they left me?!?!?" she yelled. "Your parents..." he couldn't just tell her what they thought about demons, she is too young to deal with it.

"Your parents don't understand about your abilities Kazuko, tell me, have you been dealing with certain problems with people from the villlage you lived?" he asked. Kazuko was unsure if answer to him or not. "Calm down Kazuko, I promise I won't hurt you, we are family after all" he smiled. "F-Family?" she repeated.

"My daddy said I was your granddaughter, then... does that mean you are my granddaddy?" she asked. He nodded with a kind smile. "I was bullied by everybody without knowing why... I used to cry every day before coming home hoping that my parents would make me feel better" she started to sob again. He showed his hand to her. She looked up. "I won't let anyone hurt you anymore, I will protect you" she nodded and grabbed his hand. He lifted her up and walked the opposite way carrying the little girl.
