I woke up this morning extra excited. Kim was on the couch and I noticed her brown hair was now blonde. I wanted to slap her so bad for being here but didn't. My dad went to fix the plumbing thing and Marshall was eating cereal watching Kim sleep. I walked over to him and I had the tickets in my pocket. "Hey Marshall you doing anything today?" He shook his head. "Good. Because I got Run DMC tickets for me, you, and Proof."
"You fucking what?!" He got up and hugged me tightly to him. "Umm you better stop before your girlfriend gets up." He squeezed me tighter and I almost suffocated. "Alright that's enough." I managed to get out and he laughed in my face while taking his ticket. "I'm gonna go change. Call proof up. You might wanna get dressed too." He smirked at me and I laughed.
"Oh! Hey." Kim said to me as she saw me curling my hair. I smiled at her and she sat on the counter in the restroom. "So...I heard you're going to a concert today." I nodded and watched my hair flow perfectly. My outfit went perfect with it and I was all ready. Proof was downstairs with Marshall. They were like little fan-boys. Screaming and every now and then Debbie would have to put them out. "Yea. It's gonna be cool. We got front row seats." She nodded and started playing with my lip gloss tube, well Debbie bought it yesterday and didn't use it so I would. "That's cool. Say I'm going to go get a tat tomorrow, just felt like it. You can come and watch." I turned to see her serious. She was actually gonna let a needle enter the top layer of her skin that was full of ink. Plus she's only fourteen. Yeah, she told Marshall she was his exact age, but she asked me not to tell. Two secrets I had to keep.
"Um that's cool but I have school tomorrow and I promised i'd go to Jeanette's." I frowned up at her. Yes, everyone's taller than me. Im average I guess you could say but Kim was taller than Marshall and me so I guess I wasn't a genetic freak in some ways. "Awe, that's too bad. Well have fun today." I nodded and walked past her to the living room.
Marshall and Deshaun were already in the backseat of the car and Debbie handed me her keys and I jet to the drivers side. Brass Monkey was playing loud and I listened to them jam. They did not once mention me on the way there and once we got there we got candy and soda and sat in our seats. Marshall would glance at me every now and then and wink and I would shove him. Proof was lost in the music and completely lost his mind and took his shirt off. We shared lots of laughs at that and I was getting really sleepy. I even fell asleep on Marshall's shoulder at one point and he held me close. Proof just stared and laughed which woke me up. When I yawned my shirt came up and they couldn't stop staring like freaks. I thought Marshall had a girl and now it's like he wants me?
I ignored my feelings the whole night and when we got home Proof crashed at our place. Kim went back to her house to get clothes and I studied like a freak once more. "Hey Bells?" Marshall asked flipping on the lights. "What's up Mickey?" I said turning the page of my book. "You looked great tonight." I smiled to myself and I felt his glare in me. "Another thing, you gave me the best birthday present ever and I love you for that." I walked over to him and placed a kiss on his forehead. "I love you too Mickey." That was the last words I said to him before his girlfriend walked in. She placed a heated kiss on his lips and I walk out letting them have their moment.
