happiness. what a weird word. it's an extremely important emotion. it's when you feel the best. and right now, for the first time in around a month, i felt it, this time without faking it. daniel walked over to me and gave me a tight, yet soothing hug. he knew i was still massively upset about jay. how could i not be? he was my best friend and only sibling. "i want to go home" i whispered into daniels chest. "we can" he replied. "i'll take you home"

i packed my suitcase up and got ready to take the next flight to scottsdale. "daniel" i stopped packing. "are you sure you wouldn't rather see your family on your break?" i smiled. "i'm sure. we'll meet them when we get back to la. they'll be here."

flying over the state of arizona, i felt safe and extra happy. i was going home to see my parents and dog. and this time, daniel was coming. after nearly five months of daniel and i being together, i think this is the appropriate time for my parents to meet him.

we arrived at the airport safe and slung and we were met with my parents at our gate. i ran at them both, engulfing them in a huge hug. when we pulled out my dad was smiling happily at me. i smiled back, reassuringly. "mom, dad, this is daniel" i said, proudly. daniel shook my dads hand and my mom pulled him in for a hug. she whispered something into his ear and he said something back, while smiling. "let's get you guys home."

i laced my fingers with daniels as we walked up the steps to my house. we opened the door and sure enough i was greeted with cosmo jumping up on me. "baaaabyyyyy!!" i squealed. i fell to the floor and i was rubbing him as he was attempting to lick my face. "i missed you babe" i whispered to cosmo. i stood up and cosmo backed away that was until he spotted daniel and jumped up and barked at him. daniel showered him with affection which made him ten thousand times more attractive.

we laid on my bed while scrolling through many different social media apps. my phone vibrated and it was an incoming facetime call from zach. i swiped the answer button and zachs face soon appeared. "STELLA!!" he shouted. "baby z!" i replied, smiling. "hey zach!" daniel said from over my shoulder. "aw y'all are spooning" he smirked. "shut it zacharyyy!" i giggled. after a few minutes zach was joined by the rest of the band. "heyo" corbyn smiled, coming into the screen. "how's home?" jack asked. "it's great, i feel at ease" i replied. "i miss you guys a lot though!" i added quickly.

daniel and i snuggled up in my bed. cosmo was lying at the end of the bed, snoring peacefully. "goodnight, amor" daniel breathed. "goodnight" i smiled through the dark. "i love you" he said and kissed my forehead. and that was it, those beautiful eight letters once again, the ones that made me smile ridiculously. "i love you more"
