Healing with a staff wasn't so hard! All you had to do was concentrate your medical energy into something much larger than a scroll or tome, then move that magic inside someone else to heal them! Healing made you smile, because all the violence you experienced prior to this moment. You still felt the guilt in your stomach, but healing them made you feel at least a little bit better about hurting so many innocent people.
You were healing the swordsman that rush attacked you and Odin. He was in pain and had a magical paralysis in his arm. You weren't experienced with tomes and Nohrian spells, so you could only try your best. Luckily, the heal staff you had took then pain away from it. His arm was still numb, but it was able to move and better than not doing anything. The swordsman looked into your eyes and finally smiled.
"Thank you, Miss."
The soldier stood up, with helpful balance from you. You smiled as he walked away with nothing more than a slight limp. You watched him walk off and find his home to be greeted by his wife and two small children. You hugged your staff, smiling all the while. That's when you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around and met the stunning blue eyes of the man who saved your life multiple times today: Odin Dark.
"Have you completed your noble task of rejuvenating the bright light of life into our precious foes?"
There he goes again with his poetic language. You smiled. That was so unique about him as a person and defined him as different than the rest. You would love to get to know him just a little better. Maybe he could hang out with you and Felicia or you and Elise? Elise would probably appreciate him a little more, being curious to know what he's saying. In reality you knew exactly what he said. Have you finished healing them? It was a simple decode.
"Yes, I have. Has Corrin given us any other orders or is he still discussing things with the leader of the ice tribe?"
Odin flinched. You understood what he said first hand? Wow, that was a first for someone he only met during the precious chapter of this book. Odin then smiled, feeling content and happy that he met someone who understands the tongue of the darkness itself, bestowed upon him by the magic of one who shall not be named. Like the Valla spell, he isn't allowed to discuss Anakos.
"No calls of desperation or orders told for us at the moment, however the darkness whispers to me! It tells me, the chosen hero, to open the veil of mystery and allow myself to be known to you! I am Odin Dark! It's nice to forge the invisible bond that will tie us together for the rest of time!"
He exclaims happily, sticking out his hand for you to shake. You simply giggled. The whole bit about the darkness whispering to him and the invisible ties that bind were interesting, even entertaining in the least. You know exactly what he said. We have no orders, but I'd like us to be friends. Hi, I'm Odin. It's nice to meet you. Or that in a nutshell. You took his hand and gave him a firm handshake, smiling right into his eyes, Blue as a twitter logo.
"It's a grand pleasure to meet you as well, Odin."
Odin felt your hand grasp his. It was terribly cold and delicate compared to his own. You clearly aren't used to the cold and harsh conditions the ice tribe bares. In fact, you didn't look Nohrian at all. Being a defined as more of a hoshidan class. Yet you didn't look Hoshidan. Perhaps some other country not associated with the two? That seems like the most logical explanation. Yeah. He will assume that. He took his fingers around yours again, forming the handhake. It's a marvel at how one of these paragraphs is equivalent to about a second in real time, isn't it?
Odin let go of your hand just as you let go of his. You brought it back to your side. It felt extremely cold without anything holding it. You stuffed it underneath one of your layers of freely flowy robes behind your back so you don't have to embarrass yourself in frontier of Odin yet at the same time having some hopes of keeping it at least a little bit warm. You don't like cold, despite the fact your body has somewhat gotten used to it at this point in time.
There was an awkward silence between the two of you for a moment. Neither of you quite knew exactly what you should say in your situation as of now. What should you do? Ask him a corny question about his likes, dislikes, hobbies, exetera? You know, one of the stupid icebreaker questions teacher said ask you on the first day of school to help get to know you just a little bit better but at the same time it never works.
That's when you has an idea. You reached in your little fanny pack like bag in your robes for another little wooden figure. What's losing one more, right? If you visit Izumo you can always find the ones you gave away. Theyre very common. Almost every child grows up with these nowadays. The non painted version, you painted them yourself with your father. But where was the god you were looking for? Ah yes! Here he is! You hand the little wooden figure to Odin. He takes it into his hand and looks at it. He is severely confused. Obviously.
"This is Erebus! You talk about the darkness a lot, so this is the god of darkness himself! I gave a lot of our other allies one of these little wooden figures as a gift, so I thought I'd give one to you!"
Odin then gasped, a smile forming wide on his face. A little fanboy squeak escaped him as he rushed you into a big hug. You felt heat shoot up into your cheeks, blood boiling underneath them. He squeezed you around your waist tight, holding you close to him in a spurt of excitement. His chin was on your shoulder and his eyes were closed as he thanked you in his own special way.
"Many MANY gratifications come from not only me, but from Erebus himself for gracing me with this wonderful tribute to the darkness!"
He let you go after noticing your face becoming purple, a mic of your blushing red and blue to lack of oxygen in your lungs. He let out a nervous laugh hidden inside of a breath, rubbing the back of his neck as a nervous habit. You took in a big breath of air, emulating your breathing once more. The only bad part about it was that you were aware of your own breathing after the large bear hug he engulfed you in. You focused back on Odin, he was still bouncing on the balls of his feet; giddy like a child on Christmas.
"I'm sure the ties that bind us will only grow stronger from this point on! The stars dance in our presence in the darkness of night! I must be off, bye!"
He ran off, probably to find Niles or someone to show off his cool little statue. You giggled, watching him run off all excited and in a hurry. You looked at the staff, you must have dropped it on the ground at some point. With a sigh you crouched down and picked it up. This needs to go back to Elise, right?
Looks like you need to find Elise.
