"(Name)."
You turned when you heard someone call to you. It was Odin. What did he want? You were just about to dock and Corrin was giving out orders and plans for what to do when you all would reach the shore. You were surprised when Odin reached for your hands and took them into his own. His cobalt eyes refused to meet your own. The moonlight filtered on over the two of you, daybreak nearly rising. It was a wonderous sight. The light wove through Odin's hair, brightening his face and bringing your focus to his azure eyes. He struggled to find the correct words for a moment or three.
"Those of our comrades have told me of the tales to share involving the stars and the fortunes you preach. I wish to aquire the knowledge of what the stars say about... a future of us? Are we companions until the bitter end? Will the invisible ties that bind us shatter and wither away? I dare say I could not stand the separation we have already been through, so I strongly desire confirmation that such a thing would certainly not happen in the future."
Ah, your star fortunes. Small little astrological signs hidden In the sky at night. T'was mostly Princess Elise, Felicia, and Arthur who had asked for you to read their fortune in the stars and tell stories of the gods and goddesses above. Apparently, Nohrians only believed in the First Dragons. That had heard naught of any of the gods who formed the earth that the Drsgons had created nor of the grand goddess Naga who had blessed this Earth with all Humanity. Your heart started besting. You've kept pushing off reading what the stars said about Odin at all. You were nervous and scared. You feared the worst.
"Alright, Odin. Just, uh, give me a moment please..."
You felt your have burn up and you looked up, trying to see the gleaming orbs through the sunlight beginning to stream through. Let's see... Odin was a Leo meaning he was a body spirit. Being born on the fifteenth day showcases extreme extrovertism and deep emotional connections to all around him. Reading into the connections of the stars that appeared before you with a flicker of magic in the eye, you could decode ancient writings made of stars to read exactly what you want to see. You read out exactly as you read, trying not to die of embarassment and flusterdness.
"Brave Leo of the Fifteenth sub August shalt not be devistated any longer after winning a second war. Brave Leo shall return back to whence he came with a new bride by his side. The Pride Of the Lion will be overjoyed to have him and his comerades return with families and children of their own. The mother of Brave Leo shall embrace him tight and she does a great many tears of joy. His bride and daughter will happily aide with the throne to the Haildom of Ylisse. The name of the Princess Shall be... Ophelia. Maiden of Virgo and Virtue."
With every word, the story was more enticing to you. A new haildom? A wife and daughter? If only you could see more onto the wife. You hoped oh so deadly that the wife was you. You looked down, feeling a bit lightheaded from all the magic drained from you in that moment. You looked back at Odin to see the tears being caught in the light just before leaving his eye. Perhaps that fortune hit some chords that should not have been plucked. He smiled and wiped his eye, laughing out his words much more casual than what you were used to hearing from him.
"So Mom is going to greet me with a big hug, huh? I'm just glad she didn't forget me."
His mother. His mother must be a very big part of this fortune. Quickly, you looked up. Could you find out more on his mother? You could only pray it was in the same constellation. Gods, reveal the fate of the mother of Brave Leo. Please. You want to give some reassurance to your most beloved human. The words showed up to you in perfect English. With a smile, you began reading off every word without thought. You just wanted to keep Odin smiling.
"The young princess of Ylisse will be overjoyed when her son returns home after the war of Nohr and Hoshido, carrying yet another victory on his shoulders. Brave Leo holds the hand of Ophelia, chosen one of Naga, and (Name), Maiden of the Gods who shall be his wife. His father will be the most proud of him, welcoming him home and wishing to make up for every second of lost time. The family will live happily forever after and will carry the legacy of Ylisse along side the family of Chrom and Lucina for generations to come. There is a happily ever after in sight for the Brave Lion, Leo."
Before you knew it, you were brought into a warm embrace. The Izumoan magic of the fortune telling faded and you were brought back into reality. You felt something on your forehead, warm and welcoming, only for it to go away and be replaced by something cold that failed to roll off. A kiss, followed by a tear. That's when the words of the stars ran through your mind, finally understanding. He left his home to come here to fight in the war, only with the single wish to return home alive. He misses his family. Odin is a prince of another realm. With all this epic poetry written in the aligned stars, you had forgotten that the oracle said you'd become his wife and the mother of Ophelia.
"That Future is one to work for, isn't it?"
Yes. Yes it Is.
