(Your POV)

I was a little surprised by the text when I received it but happily accepted his invitation only to scream in horror at what I had done.

"He wants me to have dinner at his house? His parents will be there!" I yelled.

"Get over it they're just people." My mum's voice came from the hallway as she overheard my exclamation while she was passing by. I poked my head out around the door and she smiled at me. "Have fun." She winked.

"Shut up." I snorted and then closed the door behind me as I disappeared back into the depths of my room. I rifled through my drawers in order to find a suitable outfit for tonight. "It's respectful to wear something nice as his parents will be there and they probably won't approve of our friendship if they think I'm a slob." I said to myself, picking up a couple clothing items and testing them against my body. 'You're overthinking things, you're just friends.' 'I don't want to just be friends though.' I pouted to myself as if I was in a conversation with someone other then my own conscious. "I'm such a crazy person." I murmured.

I took my time but I finally decided on a dress (Shown below);

(Sorry if you don't like the dress, if you really hate it you can always change it to your liking xD I love this style of dress though and had a bit too much fun looking and saving pictures of Asian-style cute dresses xD Just imagine this outfit w...

"Who the heck are you and what did you do with my daughter?" My mother smiled, amused as she saw me strolling down the steps in this dainty, pretty and very girly dress with my white flat shoes with the little ankle-strap.

"Shut up." I laughed. She chuckled as well.

"I'm going to the supermarket if you want to come by the way." She said knowing very well that my small stash of junk food was getting low and I'd have to stock up again soon.

"Yes! Thanks for telling me, let me just go up and get changed." I said turning around on my heels and was about to speed up the staircase before she called me back.

"Hey? No way, I'm going now so if you want to go to the supermarket you're going to have to go in that lovely dress that I never even knew you had. I have to get ingredients for christmas dinner the day after tomorrow." She snorted. I stared. "What?" She asked.

"How could I forget?" I asked, my mouth dropped open.

"What?" She repeated with a concerned frown.

"I totally, completely, UTTERLY forgot that tomorrow is christmas eve!" I shouted. Mum burst into fits of laughter, gripping the bench for support and doubling over.

"Honestly, girl, you are hopeless." She gasped between laughs. "How can you forget Christmas?"

"I don't know." I replied dumbfounded at my own oblivion.
