(Just what is Jae going to bring into this book?)
Jungkook and I had managed to keep our relationship secret. We weren't entirely sure why we weren't telling anyone, it was sort of a funny game to us. I woke up from a tiring weekend. I hung out with Sun-hee and Ji su on Saturday and then with Jungkook on the Sunday. He stayed fairly late which lead to me being exhausted this morning. I dragged myself down the pathway with my backpack hang loosely from my shoulders. Once I had arrived to my classroom I was surprised to see that Jungkook had not yet arrived, I was used to the tradition of arriving to see Jungkook waiting in our usual seats giving me a warm smile. 'I suppose it's my turn to welcome him.' I thought and sat down in the small chair. As usual the classroom was busy with students who had already arrived. Talking in their groups as usual. I glanced over and realized Ji su and Taehyug were talking in a corner so I went to join them for a bit.
"Alright everyone, settle down." Mrs. Park said dumping a large pile of files and papers onto her desk. I rushed back to my chair and frowned. Where on earth was jungkook? At that moment the door flew open and Jungkook rushed in, panting heavily. I was pleased to see him but I forced myself to stare at my papers.
"I'm very sorry Mrs. Park." He huffed.
"Very well, be sure to be on time tomorrow." She brushed him off and let him sit in his seat. Jungkook hurried around to his side of the desk and then once was seated turned to me and engulfed me with a giant hug. I held back a squeal.
"I missed you." He whispered in my ear.
"I saw you only yesterday." I giggled, finally angling my head upwards to look at his beaming face.
"Time apart from you is getting worse and worse." He pouted.
"Today we have a new transfer student, please give her a warm welcome. " Mrs. Park said, gesturing to a pretty girl who had just entered the room. Her bleached blonde hair hung smoothly around her face and shone under the classroom lights. I had never seen a more perfect fringe in my life. The way she moved seemed girly in itself.
"Hello everyone! I am Kang Jae. Please take good care of me." She spoke in a cute, high voice and gave a small, polite bow to everyone in the room. Almost all of the boys in the room started murmuring, about how pretty she was, most likely. I sniffed, not another one of these overly cutesy girls. I jumped a bit in my chair as the Kang Jae cleared her throat lightly while standing over me.
"Ooh, new cute girl vs the fireball." I heard two boys whisper behind me. I stiffened and glanced hurriedly around the room. Everyone was staring at us.
"Yes?" I asked, fixing my overly chilled gaze on her.
"If you don't mind, could I have your seat?" She asked sweetly.
"Huh?" I was pretty surprised by her question. Jungkook stiffened in his chair beside me. "There are other empty seats in the room, so why here?" Kang Jae blinked as if at a loss and then spoke again;
"Well, I'd like to sit with my friend, Jungkook."
I stared.
"Kang Jae... Jae?" I murmured, musing over this new information. "Oh, Jae!" I cried a moment later. "You're that person who texted Jungkook awhile back." I finished.
"I can't believe you remembered that." Jungkook laughed.
"Miss Kang, please sit down." Mrs. Park said impatiently.
"Oh, sorry Mrs. Park." She chimed and hurried to sit in an empty chair further back with a very pleased looking boy.
"So you were jealous." Jungkook whispered. I turned and frowned.
