(Hi my dudes! After this one I'm hoping for another 3-5 chapter before the end of the book. I apologize in advance for the upcoming chapters as they will probably suck. I don't know exactly why, but dragging the recent chapters out of my brain is somehow very frustrating. I really like the idea of finishing my first BTSxReader FF so I'm a bit impatient with it and this chapter hasn't really been planned out so I'm just making do with whatever I feel like should happen right now. After I finish this one my main attention and focus will be transferred to 'Red String' and bringing my JiminxReader, 'Brother's Conflict' to life, which I'm really excited about xD)

"Hurry up guys!" Sun-hee called, all too cheerfully. It seemed as though she could almost sense the tense air prickling between Jae and me. After the time Jungkook had apparently abandoned watching a movie with her to visit me while I was in a bad mood, the exchange between us had limited itself to a terse nod in greeting and goodbye. I shot her suspicious glances and she shot me venomous ones. However much Jungkook insisted that I was just imagining the expression, I couldn't help but see only great dislike in her eyes for me. I strolled beside Jungkook, ponytail bobbing up and down. I stiffened as Jae coughed loudly, directly behind me. Jungkook's hand shot out to mine and gripped it. I jolted but accepted the gesture of affection and intertwined my fingers with his, relishing the thought of Jae staring at the affectionate exchange between us. Jae always prickled when Jungkook and I acted all 'lovey-dovey', as used by Sun-hee. The plan for today started out as a double date between Sun-hee, Jihoon, Jungkook and me, but apparently Jae didn't understand the words 'Sorry Jae, it won't work for you to tag along as this is a date' and showed up anyway. As soon as my eyes had laid sight on Jae I had bristled like a cat prepared for a fight but the warning look that Jungkook had thrown my way silenced my words of protest. I know Jungkook is simply trying to keep the peace but I don't like having such a pretty and 'sweet' girl who has known Jungkook for far longer than I have as a competitor.

We filed into a booth in a busy cafe. I made to sit by Jungkook but Jae slipped slyly in between us making my heart quicken with anger and the prospect of confrontation. I opened my mouth to to say something, I wasn't quite sure what yet but just as I was prepared to spit some sort of words out Sun-hee begun ordering for everyone. I clamped my jaws shut and closed my hands into a fist, digging my fingernails into my palms and not even bothering to wince as pain shot through my hands. Jae was joking around with Jungkook, who appeared rather uncomfortable. I felt as though perhaps he could see sparks flaring from my eyes as I glared absently at the waitress. Once the plates arrived back with the waitress I accepted my meal with a blank nod and sniffed. I could feel glances being thrown my way but I wasn't bothered to find out who.

"Excuse me," I said, straightening my dress as I stood up. "I need to visit the powder room." I spoke in a formal and overly polite voice, receiving stares from everyone in the group but once again I ignored them and walked in the direction of the restrooms. I ducked behind the wall separating the toilet doors from the restaurant's view and once I was sure everyone had turned their attention back to their food, I sneaked out and towards the door to the restaurant's deck. Once outside I exhaled deeply, hoping the cool, late evening air could extinguish some of the furious flames that had been set through me by Jae. I walked past the people crowded tables and down some steps into a small, sweet smelling garden where I could recover my nerves in solitude. Or so I thought.

"She thinks she's so great with her bleach blonde hair and overly girlish giggles." I spoke in a high pitched voice, grimacing into my reflection on the dark pond waters. I observed the goldfish as they propelled themselves through the water with their thin fins. "Hah!" I spat aggresively. "Sweet girl, my ass."

"Ahem!"

I leaped as the loud, and fake, sound of someone's throat being cleared sounded behind me. I knew who it was before I turned around, how could I not know? It carried that signature highness. My blood chilled at the thought of her hearing my mutterings. I turned slowly around and fixated Jae with big innocent eyes, acting as though I wasn't just insulting her aloud.
