Heyy! Thanks for putting me through to the top 8! I'm so excited! I'm going to give it my all now xD

So my song was E.T. by Katy Perry. I must admit, I was worried about in the beginning but not anymore. So without further ado, here's my fourth submission!

PS it's written in a girl's POV. It's the first time I try something like that so I hope you enjoy it!

Chosen genre: Fantasy/Science Fiction/Romance

~Take Me~

It had been two weeks since the government had caught all of the Outsiders. That's what they were called, 'Outsiders'; a way to sugar coat the fact that they were aliens. The year was 2357. It had been forty-eight years since the Outsiders had revealed themselves to us Humans. Afraid of their capabilities and abilities, the Humans never attempted to get rid of them. Instead, they welcomed them like an old friend. That is, until two month ago.

It was a bright, sunny, Monday morning when we were all waken up by the horrific news that the country's Prime Minister had been slaughtered to death. After about a little over a month, the murderer was caught. He was an Outsider.

Blinded by anger, the country leaders decided to catch all the Outsiders and committ a mass killing; get rid of all the Outsiders once and for all.

Only a few people didn't support the government. We were called The Resistance. I was the youngest of the group. The other members had all joined for the same reason: to save the innocent Outsiders. I, on the other hand, had alternative reasons. I, Emily Walters, had fallen for an Outsider, and I didn't even know it. It all happened last Summer. I met him on the beach when we bumped into each other. Outsiders never revealed their true forms, they were always diguised by human skin. Meeting Eduard Tavern gave my life meaning. I was so close to letting it all go. He saved me...

Eduard and I spent every waking minute together. We chatted in person, online, on our phones. Every conversation we had, good or bad, made my day, he hypnotized me, his words mezmorised me. I couldn't explain it.

It was all perfect until the day he revealed his true self. As I stood before him, his brown hair elongated as his body twitched and contorted to reveal a big hunched creature. To most, he would look disgusting, but not to me. To me, he was the same boy, with the same personality, the same deep, warm, brown eyes. To me, he was everything that was good in the world.

It had been two weeks since the government had captured all of the Outsider, all except one; Eduard.

He had gone into hiding, and I would get reassuring letters from him every once in a while.

Not knowing the nature of our relationship, I was never confronted by an official. Though even if I were, I wouldn't be of any help. Eduard wouldn't tell me where he was, no matter how much I begged him to.

The mass killing was finally set for August 2, 2357; 3 days from today. The worst had happened. My heart sank as I watched the police aprehend Eduard. I couldn't stay and watch him be killed, so I did the only thing I could do.

I was used to press conferences taking place in our home. That had been the case ever since I was young. I kept listening in to the conference until a moment I could use finally arised. I got up in front of all those people, swallowed the lump in my throat, and prepared myself to shock the world.

"What is happening is wrong. We can not kill the innocent Outsiders. What if they were humans? Put yourselves in their shoes. Would you want to be killed, eventhough you are innocent? And what does that say about our justice system?

If you are going to kill all the Outsiders, then you might as well do me in because I, Emily Walters, daughter of the Senetor, am an Outsider."

The gasps from the crowd before me was deafening. The police hurried to handcuff me and my father, despite his objections. They would eventually find out I was lying, for it was all a plan hatched up by The Resistance. While I was being taken to the center where all the Outsiders were being held, The Resistance was going to attack it and free all the innocent Outsiders, and that was exactly what happened.

They came out of no where as we were taken inside. I could see lasers being blasted from unknown sources, gun shots came from no where killing the officials escorting us inside. We were finally free and safe. I ran towards the cages where the Outsiders were being kept. Cages...as if they were animals. We, humans were the real animals as far as I knew.

It took some time to find Eduard. He was one of the last to get out. I ran aftwr him, eventhough he ordered me not to. I ran as fast as I could to keep us with him: Outsiders never got tired as a result of physical activity. By the time he stopped, I was begging for every breath of air. The weather had turned freezing cold. The ground was damp and moist.

"Wait!" I yelled after him. He turned around and looked at me.

"You have to stay away from me. I'll poison you, I'll ruin you!" said Eduard.

"No, you won't. I love you, I'll always love you!" I argued.

"I'm a monster and we can't even kiss."

It was true. For as long as we were together, we had never kissed. I always thought he was waiting for the right time or something. Why was it?

"Why? Why can't we kiss?" I demanded.

"It isn't allowed for Outsiders and Humans to mate. A kiss between them is deadly. If I kiss you, one of us could die. I can't take the risk," he explained.

"But I want to kiss you, I don't care if it's the last thing I do!"

"No," he said coldly.

"Kiss me! K-K-Kiss me!" I said, the cold making me stutter.

"No!" he yelled. "I never loved you, I was just hypnotizing you, I never really liked you!"

"That's a lie," I simply said. "You love me and I love you!"

"But I'm not like the others!" he objected.

"They don't understand you. I do!" I defended.

"I'm from a different world," he said. He was giving me every excuse he could think of.

"I don't care! Take me! Make me yours! Abduct me! I don't care. I just want to be with you," I confessed.

"I can't, I just can't!" he said getting frustrated.

I couldn't take it anymore. I ran towards him and locked my lips with his. They were so full, so soft...

"What did you do?" he said.

"You jump I jump. Remember that line from 'Titanic'?" I asked. It was my favourite movie, and we had watched it a few times. It just never got old!

He nodded.

We waited and waited, then looked into each other's eyes and smiled. Nothing happened, we were going to live!

Lights came out of no where. We were almost surrounded by men with guns. I looked at Eduard in fear. His eyes always assured me. He mouthed 'I love you', then ran off into the forest. I tried following him, but I was stopped by the gunmen. That was the last time I ever saw Eduard or heard of him...

Eduard sped off into the forest as fast as he could, not that anyone could catch him. Super speed was a trait that made him proud of being an Outsider. He ran and ran, but soon came to a stop. He was pacing, and had a hard time swallowing. His vision started getting fuzzy. He lost his balance, and soon fell to the damp ground. He looked above to see the stars. He smiled. He always loved the stars; they reminded him of Emily. It was so wrong to love her, yet so right. She, was all he could think about as he stared above, slowly fading. He closed his eyes and lay still on the ground, giving in to death...

That was it! I hope you enjoyed reading it, and I hope it's enough to get me through to the next round! I'll be anxiously awaiting the results!

Have a great day!
