Sad Love

Chapter 14

SAM'S POV
   I lay on the couch and feel light weight on my chest so I open my eyes and see Nikki's head on me. She's sleeping so peacefully. A blanket covers our bodies and I don't know how it even got there until I see Dean. He walks past us and does a dirty face. Omg Dean he always assumes something dirty happens. Nikki's eyes flutter open and she look up into my eyes.
"Good morning" I softly speak.
"Good morning."
"How'd you sleep?"
"Actually really good, I haven't had an actual sleep in such a long time it felt good" she chuckles. I watch as she sits up and heads to the bathroom to get ready. I stand up and go get some coffee.
"So are you two like sleeping together now or what?" Dean smirks.
"No were just dating, she wants to go slow so yeah" I smile.
"Sure whatever you say Sammy." I'm about to say something back but Dean walks off. I trail off to where my stuff Is and grab some clothes to change into.
Later that day
The day went by really quickly and time eventually came where we had to head to Nikki's ranch.
"Okay guys everything packed up?" Nikki shouts to us all.
"Yup, gots pretty much everything, except for the dogs" Danyelle responds.
"Okay, everyone in the truck." Nikki opens the tailgate and helps the dogs in since the truck is really jacked up. She hops in the driver seat beside me and luckily the truck has been on for a while so it's not death heat in here. She turns on some loud country music and starts to pull out.
"What's with the old kind of music?" Dean complains.
"Driver picks the music, Passenger shuts his cake hole! Remember" Nikki smirks, and I'm surprised that she remembered that from the T.V show Dean and I used to star in. Dean lets out a little whine, but not to long after is falling asleep. Me and Nikki sit in a comfortable silence for most of the ride until I doze off to sleep.

   I wake up to the feeling of the truck stopping in front of a big wooden house, it's a beautiful house. Trees are all around the house with some trails here and there, oh and when you look to the write there's a big wide open field which is covered by horses.
"Home sweet home" Nikki cheerfully states.
"Wow it's beautiful here" Dean sounds amused which is odd because he never says anything like that unless he's trying to get into a one night stand. We all help to unload the truck and it goes by rather quickly. Nikki introduced us to her other two dogs, a blue heeler named Chloe and a Australian Shepherd named Misha. They were really nice dogs and Chloe is even pregnant with Texas heeler puppies. So that will be so exciting for Nikki when that day comes.
Nikki and Danyelle give us a tour of the house and tells us that there's 5 bedrooms so me and Dean don't have to fight over the couch.
"Okay so I'm going out to feed all the animals you guys can get settled in if you want" Nikki offers but I want to meet all the animals so I decide to go with her which isn't s big surprise to her or to anyone.
   "Ok so here are the goats, sheep, and pigs" Nikki points out. We take a little scroll through there and then head over to the horses.
   "So far we have 18 horses, 3 are mine and 2 are Danyelle's. the other ones are rescue"
   "You guys rescue horses?"
   "Not just horses pretty much every animal here has been rescued by Danyelle and I"
   "Wow really?" I ask.
   "Yup and if we didn't rescue them then we adopted them from a rescuer."
   "Wow that's great" I smile and we head back to the house.
