Chapter 8

NIKKI'S POV
   I stand at the the top of the raft and watch as they all look around for me.
   "What are you guys looking for" I ask with a smirk on my face. They all look at me in amazement.
   "How'd you get there?"
   "Are you Okay?" They all ask me questions on what I did and if I'm okay.
   "Well first of all I'm clearly fine and second of all I swam over to the island and hid behind some bushes, I waited for you guys to get far enough away from the raft and I swam back to the raft and now I'm here! Talking to you all" I laugh at their faces, they all look at each other and start to laugh along.
   "Uhh guys can we go get some food? I'm really hungry" Dean groans and clenches his stomach.
   "Yeah sure thing, I'm getting hungry too" Danyelle smiles and starts to swim back to the camp, I dive in right after her, Sam and Dean follow along.
~Later that evening~
"So guys what do you want to do now" I ask the boys.
"We should have a campfire" Dean says like a five year old.
"Okay, sounds good" Danyelle shrugs. We all start to make our way to the camp fire, I smell garbage and mud, but I don't say anything because it's probably just me, no it's definitely just me, I'm just paranoid!
Dean starts to light up the fire and we all take our seats. I hold a stick in my hands and start to fiddle around with it, I don't even know why but my anxiety is so bad right now, I just want to be alone but I don't want to leave. Sam takes a seat beside me.
"Hey do you smell something funny?" He whispers in my ear.
"Yeah it smells like a bear" I say back.
"Uh oh, Dean is deathly afraid of bears."
"Uhh, I don't think it will hurt us."
"Yeah probably not."
We sit at the fire for a little while just laughing and telling stories, my anxiety is still really bad and it seems like it's getting worse but I try to brush it off.
"Nikki I hear something in the bushes over there" Sam warns.
"Yeah me too, it doesn't sound small. Should we say something?"
"Yeah maybe we should head inside." Me and Sam both look at each other as we both just saw something move, I sit tight for another second until I see it come out of the bushes. It's a huge black bear, it's not charging towards us, yet. I saw that exact bear a couple days ago when I came down here to drop some stuff off, she had Cubs with her so I'm guessing she's not going to be too nice to us.
"Guys try to stay calm, but there is a bear right there" Sam points at the bear and slowly stands up, I do the same. Dean and Danyelle turn around at the same time. Dean looks absolutely terrified.
"Slowly back away!" Sam warns but Dean backs up as fast as he can.
"I thought bears didn't like fires!" I groan.
"Yeah I thought so too" Sam replies. We are closer to the camp now but the bear still has her eyes on us, it seems like she's coming closer to us but she's not charging us or anything, yet.
"Sam I'm gunna run" Dean whines.
"No Dean! Don't! The bear is going to think your game, and he will eat you!" Sam warns his brother.
"Hate to say it but this bear is a girl. I saw her and her cubs crossing the road a couple days ago." I glance at Sam but then look back at the bear.
"Oh uh!"
"If we make it inside, we should call the cops and see what we should do" Danyelle says. I nod my head Yes not wanting to say anything else.
We finally reach the camp and Sam holds the door for us and he come inside at the perfect time because the bear starts to charge us. Sam slams the big door and curses under his breath. I walk over and go sit on the couch since I don't feel very well. I can hear the bear scratching at the door and the dogs going nuts and it makes me just want to die, I hate this. Sam must've noticed something wrong because he comes over and asks if I'm okay.
"Hey are you okay? You look like you're going to do something bad."
"Oh Uhh yeah I'm fine, just don't like the noise" I lie.
"It will be okay" he try's to comfort me but I just say.
"Yeah I know" I glance up at him and give him a small, fake, smile.
"Guys the bears leaving!" Dean half shouts. Me and Sam both look over there and I jump to my feet.
"Okay good, I don't think we need to call the cops but if it comes back we definitely should leave" Danyelle looks at me for approval so I nod yes. "Okay well I'm gunna head to bed now, we have a long day tomorrow" Danyelle smirks and walks off to her bedroom.
"Yeah Sammy I'm going to go to bed as well" Dean says and trails off to the guest room.
"Okay goodnight" Sam chuckles.
"Goodnight."
"Are you going to bed to, Nikki?" Sam looks at me.
"Uhh no I'm not tired" I lie, deep down I want to tell him about everything but I can't, I just can't. "I'm just going to go for a small drive, I'll be back later" I say standing up and fetch my keys off the counter.
"Oh uh do you want me to come with you?"
"No, no I'll be back in about a half hour, you just get some sleep, like Danyelle said it's going to be a long day tomorrow" I chuckle and look down at the keys.
"Okay if you say so" he laughs. I go out the door and smell for bear but the smell is gone so I hop in my truck and pull out of the drive way. All of me wanted Sam to come, I wish he was here right now but I don't want him to see how I actually am. He needs to be happy and stay happy, for his fans and seeing me like this, I don't know how it will make him feel but I don't want to show it. I don't want him to know I'm a depressing person, I want him to think I'm a fun person but I'm no where close to that! I don't want anyone to know that I'm slowly dying.

Say what, is she just saying she's dying for attention? Probably but there's always that chance! I can't wait to tell you all the exciting news but y'all will have to wait till the end of the book to see what it is! So how do you guys like it so far? Honestly the next couple chapters are going to be just, just I don't even know how to explain it, I guess just read it to find out.
