Getting into the Mood of the Race

Autumn's POV
I could've swore that that horse who stuck her tongue out at the camera was 10000% Eda. Only she has that kind of stupid humour. Still, holy cow that was a race, three years of friendship with Eda and I've never seen her run like hell like that before.

I didn't watch the tv after that since I was busy with school work for the the next two weeks. Benjamin kept me posted on Seraphina's status every now and then.

Until one day, Benjamin knocked on my door while I was packing for a school trip, he never does that unless there's some urgent news. I answered it and he said, "Seraphina is up for auction on Friday."

Today is Thursday!

I panicked, there's a road trip tomorrow and I needed to go there! My parents spent a lot on the expense of the trip, I can't not go!

Seeing me obviously panicking, Benjamin offered to go to the auction site and help get Seraphina, "Though," he said, "I cannot understand your attachment to this thoroughbred, what's so special about it? Your parents would've wanted you to get a Kentucky Derby winner instead of this funny, weird-looking racehorse."

I'll have non of that, I just simply stared at him. He complied anyways.

Eda's POV
Somebody help me, I'm being lead out of a trailer into a place I've never seen before and I wanna run away.

Shizzle, I'm starting to think like a horse, sooner or later there'll be no going back into human form if this ensues!!! Stay calm!

I obediently walked through the door when I heard someone say, "Now on Lot 11 we have the famous filly, Seraphina Solaris who is also known as the horse with the weird personality. We are starting the bid at $250,000."

Ahh... I'm in an auction... I see... but WHY?!

I looked around the room, my ears perked up as I scanned at the people seated around. Hmm... I know no one from the crowd.

The guy who was leading me told me to turn to face the other side, and at the same time showing my detailed body to the possible buyers.

One by one, I hear buyers raise the price. I looked around and failed to see Yvonne. Where is she?

Soon, the price raised up to $1,000,000. I got a little antsy as I don't know who I'm going to end up with.

Lost in thought, I only came back to reality when I heard, "Sold at 3 million!"

Wait, really? Who? I thought to myself as the stablehand led be back to the backstage as another grey filly (yeah I can see that it was a filly) who I had raced with before was brought onstage.

A man around 30 years judging by his hair, dressed neatly and expensively, stood by a trailer. He gestured friendlily towards the stablehand. This the guy who bought me? He didn't seem like someone who does racing or someone who has a ranch.

I was loaded into the trailer. Hopefully, the journey is long so that I'll have some time to think.

It was indeed a while, I cocked my back leg into a relaxed stance. How am I supposed to go back to being human Eda? What is wrong with this story? Sure, the entire concept is off, we ended up being horse racing instead of mounted archery (neither of those benefited me in any way), but why are we stuck here? There's no way to change what happened before. My only theory and only idea to solve this is to change whatever future that was going to come. If possible....

The sudden brake of the car made me lurch forward and standing on three legs didn't help with my balance at all. I hit the wall of the trailer with a 'thump'. We're here?
