Of Course you Can't
Andrew ColesI just finished unpacking my stuff in my new room in the lab a few hours ago, the Portal Jumpers still own the Taskmasters old building, which I'm sure will be sold soon, but now with nobody living there it didn't really matter.
It was time for me to move on.
I was in the main room in the lab, with Ace and John.
John was sitting off to the side, on the couch whispering to himself about something. When I arrived here, John ordered that we stay inside for the next few days unless absolutely necessary to leave, I tried to question why but John seemed paranoid and didn't answer me.
He was having another leader break down. He had a few of these when Jack was around, he cracks under pressure and goes into a mumbling fit where he doesn't communicate with anyone. I've figured out that its just best to leave John alone whenever this happens.
Ace stood in the room, with the virtual realty training headset on. He had the full body suit on as well. I'll be honest I haven't used this training thing many times since Tyler came up with it.
I grabbed a extra headset and put them on, then slipped on the bodysuit over my clothes. Turned it on, logged in as Andrew, and joined Ace's session.
Ace was a in a simulation of Guardpost, there was a bomb placed inside of the kingdom that needed to be moved outside of the city before it blew up.
He already failed several times, Tyler really made these missions difficult without a full team.
...
"Well that's just plain stupid!" I yelled in rage ripping off the headset, its been several hours now, and Ace and I tried that stupid mission at least a dozen times.
We failed over and over, despite us being two of the strongest members on the team we still couldn't complete this mission without the others.
We tried handing off the bomb to each other, we tried one person carrying it and the other covers them. We even tried throwing the bomb up into the air and blowing it up there so it doesn't damage the city.
Apparently Tyler didn't program alternate game endings, which I mean i can't blame the guy, considering he made this entire game in just a few weeks by himself it was already amazing. I think the guy was just obsessed though, he idolized Max Withered, and wanted to be the guy. That's probably why there is a Fallen Dimension level in here, when realistically the Spies would never find themselves in the Fallen Dimension.
"Dude, I really thought the distract the guards with strippers tactic would've worked!" Ace responded ripping off his own headset and placing them on the table next to him.
"Yeah, I wasn't to sure about that one but okay" I laughed placing my own headset on the table, we both took off of body suits and I glanced over at John.
he stopped mumbling, but was now pacing back and forth.
"You alright man?" I asked. Usually these little freak out attacks that he'd had only last twenty minutes tops, its been several hours.
He nodded, stopped pacing and looked over at us.
"I'm just thinking" He responded.
"Alright look, your freaking me out, mind telling us what the hell is going on?" Ace asked walking over to John.
"Yeah, I think my father is trying to turn the city against us. He made this long speech yesterday about how the Spies are reckless and how the two of you specifically are dangerous to the people of Guardpost" John started. Ace and I shared a glance.
