Lockdown Pt.1
John KenwayThrough the darkness that filled the lab I could barely make out the shapes of my allies. I knew Ace was still standing next to me, all of his robotic parts still frozen in place. Tyler I saw pacing back and forth.
"What's a Lockdown? What was the General talking about?" Andrew asked from behind me.
"A Lockdown, is a fail safe that the Guardpost Military have in place to protect the city. It should have only been used if a large amount of gang wars, or riots which would cause the safety of the City itself to crumble." Tyler explained.
"But there isn't a gang war, there's only- oh" Andrew mumbled in the darkness realizing the same thing that we all did.
The Lockdown was called so the Guardpost Military could kill us
A sudden bang on the door made me jump.
"This is the Guardpost Military! Open the door, or we'll bust it down!" A voice from outside the door warned.
"Tyler, turn Ace back on!" I ordered, charging my core up onto my fingertips. The Sparks of electricity from my fingers lit up the room enough to stop us from tripping over one another.
"On it" Tyler responded pressing buttons on his tablet like a mad man.
"Are we fighting them then?" Andrew asked, as I faced the front door of the lab and prepared myself for a fight. Andrew and Betty stood by my side, Betty holding a loaded pistol and a small knife.
"Shoot to disarm and subdue, we aren't going to kill them unless we have too. They are just soldiers following orders" I told the team and they nodded in agreement.
I heard the banging on the door continue, only this time it was louder, they were ramming it, trying to bust down the steal door that Tyler had in place.
"We shouldn't have come back here" Andrew mumbled shaking his head.
"I know, but we needed to rest. The plan was to back up and leave tomorrow." I explained as a large dent was made in the door.
"And go where?" Andrew asked.
"I have a lock up, should be safe from the Military." Betty explained.
I glanced over at Tyler to see the progress on Ace, Ace was still frozen. I noticed that the banging on the door stopped.
"We probably only have a few more seconds Ty, can you activate from downstairs?" I asked.
Tyler nodded.
"What are they doing?" Andrew mumbled starring at the silent unopened door
"Then do it, we will hold them off for as long as we-"
BANG!
the steal door blasted open unexpectedly and the door flew into the lab, smacking Andrew and Betty, both of them being thrown off of their feet.
I fired several bolts of electricity towards the door, but I could barely see the enemies until they were on top of me.
"Andrew!" I shouted, knowing I'd need some Energy power to get out of this.
I didn't hear a response, which means the door knocked him out, or possibly killed him.
I ducked and fired more electricity from my hands, with the upcoming gunfire i slid over to the couch, taking cover behind it.
I saw Tyler still in the lab, soldiers surrounded him and they pinned him to the ground.
In anger my fists charged up and I stood up, and fired a few bolts of electricity at the soldiers holding down Tyler.
