Adorable Riot
John Kenway

I looked at the monitor, the crowd of people were that of nearly a hundred. Sure, with Andrew and Ace here with me we could just open the door and fight our way out of this but then what? We would become exactly what my father wanted us to be, murderous criminals that are a threat to this city.

"John, what do we do?" Ace asked.

Andrew looked horrified, like I was about to ask him to murder a hundred innocent people. While Ace looked more calm and cool, but I could tell he wasn't ready to make any decisions on this.

this is the moments that I hate being a leader.

I thought it over, if we kept the doors closed, they would eventually get in, we wouldn't fight back so we'd have to find another way out. The Spies Ship's are parked in the basement, and Tyler might've had a exit installed, I mean how else was he planning to get the ships out? But Hell if I know where it is, or how to find it.

The other option was the open the door and try to reason with the crowd, maybe try to talk them down.

That's when on the monitor I saw what likely caused the riot at our doorstep. My father Arnold Kenway. I suppose there was a third option, open the door and blow them all to hell.

I took a deep breath to calm myself down, I needed to put my hatred for my father aside, I needed to try to talk some sense into him after all he is in control of the riots. Maybe, if I'm lucky I can talk some sense into the people out there as well.

"Open the door" I ordered.

Neither Ace or Andrew moved.

"did you hear me?" I asked.

Ace nodded.

"yeah, it's just you said to open the-"

"Yes! We need to talk them down, it would look bad if we stay hunkered down like this" I explained. Andrew let out a puff of relief at the fact that I wasn't planning to kill them all. Ace's arm lit up revealing a control panel and after a few clicks the door unlocked.

I walked over to it and pushed it open enough for me to squeeze through.

I closed it behind me, and the crowd backed up to make space for me. I balled my fists and prepared for one of them to jump at me.

"You here to fight us Spy!" A man my age shouted at me holding a pitchfork

"Your gonna destroy our city!" a woman shouted as someone else threw a tomato at my face . I wiped the tomato from my face and my eyes and kept my cool.

"I'm not here to fight you, I'm only here to tell you the truth" I started.

The crowd settled down.

"Lies!" a old man shouted from the back of the crowd, then the crowd started up again.

I saw the grin across my father's face as he stood nearest to me. He must've been so damn happy right now, I mean he was getting exactly what he wanted, us to be seen as the enemy.

"This is ridiculous! Listen to yourselves, we've done nothing but help you all! We have protected you from countless groups of thieves and bandits. We fought off Tony Blade, a man that even this man-" I pointed to my father, a face of concern appeared planted on his skin. "And his military have failed to do!" I shouted.

That shut them up.

"Do you know why you called us the Spies Protectors? Because you came up with that name, we didn't give it to ourselves, We were given that name because the history books tell us about when the Dome first went up, and everything was just pure chaos, No cities, no villages, no clans, just a huge group of scared animals, creatures, people and monsters. But you know what happened? A group of leaders came together and organized them, they formed a small outpost in the dome's center. A safe haven for all, you know what those leaders called themselves? The Spies, and that outpost? the safe haven would become Guardpost. The Spies formed Guardpost City, they protected people and made them feel safe. I like to think that we were given that name because that's what we were to Guardpost City today, the Protectors of Guardpost" I finished.

People looked around and were seeming to nod in agreement. My father in worry turned and shouted.

"Do you not see? They were falsely given that name, they did one great deed and then what? They were low life police that would instead of arresting the criminals they beat them over the head and sent them on there way? No, these people are still only children, stupid senseless children who will say anything because they are scared, why do you think only this one came out. It's because the rest are in there gathering there weapons to fight and kill all of us!" My father barked.

I could tell that he didn't believe the whole "me just stalling for my allies" thing, but the crowd bought it. Before I could say another word the crowd got pissed a few charged at me, I was suddenly grabbed from behind and pulled into the Lab again. For it to be sealed behind me.

"Well that didn't work" Andrew spoke up as Ace closed off the Lab's door.

"Now what?" Ace asked looking over at me again.

Izzy Stellarhart

The elevators doors opened as I speed walked into the Safe House.

"Bad news, and Worse news" I spoke walking over to Tyler.

Tyler looked over and with small smirk across his face he spoke.

"So the talk went well then?"

"bad news is that Twilight can't allow us to stay here unless she knows what Kara is-"

Tyler stood up in concern. "You didn't tell her did you?" he asked in panic.

I shook my head slightly.

"No, why?" I asked. Tyler sat back down in the chair in relief

"Well, I have bad news too, Kara's core went unstable when you left, it spiked up she smashed a few things. Reba's system is still recovering, but now that your back she is seeming to calm down"

I looked into the room and saw Reba, on the ground with a few lights blinking on her forehead. Kara sat down happily holding a few foam blocks in her hands.

"Can she see us?" I asked.

Tyler shrugged. "Not sure, I think its more a sensing then, and since the Magic and Chaos cores are similar she must be taking a liking to you" Tyler spoke looking over the monitors again.

he looked over at me.

"And you sure you can't talk your sister out of kicking us out?" Tyler asked.

I shook my head. "Seems unlikely"

"Alright, not a big deal. We can just go to the Sorcerer Village" Tyler spoke closing his nearby laptop and beginning to pack up his stuff.

"About that" I started.

"What?" Tyler asked.

"My worse news, its that there are riots on the streets, we can't leave" I explained.

Tyler sat back down in deep thought. "Well-" He mumbled.

I looked back into the Safe House's room for Kara, but she wasn't in there.

"Tyler?" I asked out loud.

Tyler was still in deep thought "If I had a remote controller on the ship-"

In a flash of turquoise dust, Kara appeared on the console.

"what the hell!" Tyler shouted in shock.

Kara looked at us, her eyes shinning with the powers of the Chaos Core. She opened her mouth wide and began to giggle.

I blinked, and suddenly we were standing somewhere else, I had Kara in my arms, Tyler stood next to me.

We were in the lab.

"Izzy? John?" Ace asked from the closed door.

"What just happened!" I asked out loud looking down at the toddler in my arms, she was still giggling with joy.

Tyler looked around the lab in confusion.

"Why is the security doors and windows on?" he asked.

"Yeah, about that, its a good thing your here" John spoke
