Y/N POV
I limped along to my room, having stayed back at the cafeteria after dinner. I had never been one to be social, and I hated being in areas with lots of people. I stayed back to watch the Bitch. She acted different, trying to "apologize" to me. I quickly flipped her off and walked away.
I pushed open the door to my room, revealing Saber, but no Teal and Sapphire. Good. They were annoying.
"Heyyyyyy what's going on?" Saber asked me. I didn't answer.
"Alrighty I'll just go screw myself then." He stated. I didn't understand what he meant by that. I lied down on my bed and tried to get some sleep. I was tired after training today.
"You're ... not gonna change?" Saber asked me. I raised my eyebrow.
"Are you gonna change for bed? You even have your machete on your back still." Saber pointed out.
"So?"
"Never mind." Saber turned away to his books on his bed.
I lied down on my back and fell asleep.
--Flashback--
Our village was destined for disaster. First the mine ... now this. Flames burnt all around, the screams of the other villagers every where. I picked up my father's machete and ran outside. Men dressed in white shirts with a strange red symbol on them patrolled around, a tall bull faunus leading them.
The bull faunus turned and saw me. A sick smile on his face.
--Flashback End--
I sit up from my sleeping position, my machete rattling on my back. I grabbed my father's weapon from my back and held it in my hands, the dirtied and scratched red handle glistening in the light from out window. I had thought about bringing this very blade on myself for so long, the thoughts still pushing at my sanity.
That was a cowards way out. I had one reason to live, and that reason was to kill everyone and everything associated with my family's death. I looked down at my scarred wrist, the memories flashing through my mind like lightning in the sky.
I exited my bed, ghosting by my sleeping teammates and going into the hallway. I turned to my left and went to the flight of stairs that led to the roof.
I had always been fascinated by the night sky. Before my village was ruthlessly destroyed, me and Neo had always watched the night sky together. Now that was ruined.
I opened the door to the rooftop, having passed Pyrrha Nikos and the incompetent vomit boy in the hallway. They looked at me oddly, as everyone else did. I sat down on the cold hard floor and watched the sky, the cold bothering me little. It was ... nice. I liked looking at the stars and the shattered moon with no story.
I lied there for hours, just staring. I rubbed my eyes out of tiredness and fatigue. I had been having a lack of sleep lately, worse than it already was. I shifted my legs as I felt something ... a presence, next to me. I turned to see Neo, the girl I had lost.
"N-Neo?"
"Y/N. Help." Then she was gone. I rubbed my eyes again and stared at the spot she once stood. Her small, angelic voice still in my ears.
It was impossible. Neo was supposed to be dead.
--Time Skip--
"Umm. You awake there bud?" I was awoken from my sleep by a familiar voice. Saber. I opened my eyes and sat up, looking at him.
"What do you want?" My voice was laced with venom.
"Yo, chill out. We got classes."
"Fine." I pushed myself to my feet and followed him. I had fallen asleep on the roof, if I could call that sleep. My sleeplessness had gotten worse than it was. I was lucky to have an hour of peace now.
My whole life was hell.
A/N: Hi, it's me. Hope you liked this. Anyways, have a good night or day. Whatever it is where you live.
