Ruby POV
I found myself sleeping in Y/N's hoodie once again. I had rarely seen him in the past few days. His hoodie was much warmer than any of my clothes, hence why I've been using it.
"You're still wearing his hoodie?" I heard Weiss ask me.
"Its warm..." I answered sheepishly.
"Look, it's Saturday, so why don't you come with me. I have something to give him." Weiss showed me a box she was holding.
"Sure." I smiled. Weiss opened the door and I followed out into the hall. Y/N's room wasn't far from ours, and it only took us a short walk.
When we arrived, Weiss knocked, and received no answer. Instead of giving up, Weiss turned the knob, opening the door silently. She pushed it open silently.
Y/N was there, at a table with parts and tools scattered over it.
"Umm, Y/N?" Weiss said.
Y/N turned and looked at us.
"What?" He asked in his monotone voice.
"Uh, I have something for you." Weiss said. I approached him, and he started right at Weiss. He looked ... meaner than usual.
"What are you making." I asked. I now stood next to his table, and he stood. He towered over me.
"You don't want to know." He said. I looked at the items on the table.
"A blasting cap, and there's two pounds of C4. Are you making a bomb?" I said.
"Yes. For the White Fang." Weiss and I widened our eyes.
"Where are you planning to put it?" Weiss asked.
"White Fang are recruiting tomorrow. Warehouse in Vale." He said.
"You don't need to bomb them." I finally spoke. I felt this funny feeling in my stomach as I looked up into his eyes.
"Yes I do." He said.
I reached a hand up and put it on his shoulder. I smiled at him.
"Just enjoy the weekend. Why don't you come with us?"
"Also, I got this for you." Weiss approached him with the box, and he started her down.
She opens the box, revealing the gray metal hand. Y/N raised an eyebrow, and grabbed it with his right hand.
"Here, let me help you." Weiss set the box down and help him out the hand on. It was a simple process. The hand was pressed onto the wrist, and it automatically bonded with the skin and nerves, I think.
Weiss put the hand on, and a few moments later, Y/N moved it around. Weiss now smiled, and Y/N muttered a thank you.
"Great! Now you can come with us right?" I asked, maybe a little to excitedly.
"Fine."
"Yes!" I quietly said to myself. I grabbed his hand and led him out the room.
--Time Skip--
I now sat at my favorite bakery with Y/N. Weiss had to go do something, but I can't remember what. I looked at Y/N. He looked very uncomfortable, and had his mean face on.
"Why did you take me here?" He asked me. I smiled.
"To get cookies dummy!" I say. He looked at me, visible confusion on his face.
I hopped up and quickly buy some chocolate chip cookies, and bring them back to our table. I hand him one.
He picks it up with his robotic hand, and takes a bite.
"It tastes good." He said.
I smiled some more, and he looked at me. I swear I just saw a hint of a smile.
"You are ... what's the word ... cute." He said. I blushed immediately.
"W-what?" My face felt hot as I dropped my cookie.
"What?" He asked me in his monotone voice.
"Nobody has ever called me that before." I manage to say to him.
He just looks at me, with a confused look on his face.
"Y-you're handsome. Am I saying that right?" I ask.
Now he looks surprised, and we're both just sitting there and looking at each other flustered.
"No I'm not." He says, almost like he just ordered someone to do something.
I look at his different colored eyes, and his messy hair. I look at the burn scar on his cheek as well.
"B-but you are." I say as he stands.
"I'm not. And we have to leave." He says. I quickly nod and stand to follow him.
A/N: So, it's shorter than usual, but I needed to get at least one chapter out soon, and I love this moment. Have a good one!
