18. Being safe.

I'm still uploading sorry I've been in the hospital for my heart.

I woke up with ringing in my ears as I looked where I was, I was in S.T.A.R Labs in a bed as Barry sat beside me it was darker than I've ever seen.
"Where's the rest of them?" I asked sitting up tiredly.
"They went home it's 4am." He whispered.
"Why are you here then?" I asked confused.
"I wanted to make sure you was okay." He said still being quiet

"I'm fine." I said as I tried to sit up.
He put his hand on my back helping me sit up.
"I'm not leaving you alone." He whispered.
"Is this about last night." I said kind of angry.
"I'm not letting anything happen to you." He said I could feel his heart skip some beats as it confused me.

He sat back in his chair.
"Get some rest." He said gentle.
I scooted over on the side of the bed as I patted on the open space next to me.
"If your not leaving you my as well sleep comfortable right?" I asked.

His heart skipped more beats than I thought possible.
"You sure?" He asked.
"I'm sure." I admitted again patting the bed.
He slowly got up and sat oh his side.
"Well lay." I laughed as he slowly laid his back on the soft bed beside of me.

"Goodnight." I whispered.
"Goodnight." He whispered back.
He was really tired because he fell asleep really fast.
I couldn't help it so I put my head on his chest and got comfy as I played with his hair a bit and fell asleep.

I woke up to bright lights shining in my face.
I slowly began to wake up as I picked my head off of Barry's chest as he sat up as I did to.
"Woah! What are you all doing!" Cisco yelled confused and scared.
"Um." Barry was lost for words as he stood up.
"He stayed the night with me because I was scared." I halfway admitted.

"Ummmm, okaaay." Cisco's voice got higher.
"Barry by the way Joes looking for you." At that sentence Barry was gone in a flash of light.
"Where's Caitlin?" I asked Cisco.
"She's trying to figure out how to fi-heal you." He said as he sat at the desk looking for danger to send Barry off to.

"So I have to stay here until she fixes me?" I asked.
"Yea, I'm sorry." Cisco admitted.
"Well I'm taking a nap." I admitted as I layer back down.

"Barry fire at 7th get there." Cisco said as I woke up to Caitlin monitoring his heart rate and everything.
"Got it." Barry said over the loud com he had. I smiled at the sound of his voice.
I stared up a little until he got the fire out then I fell back asleep to heal.

"Hey." Barry said walking talking to Cisco.
"Where's Caitlin?" I asked sleepy.
"Date." Cisco smiled, "So How'd the mission go?" Cisco asked.
"Um, fine." I could tell her was really depressed.
"That's good." Cisco said as he started to walk out.
"12:30 gotta run." He said walking out.

Barry walked to the desk in the middle of the room and leaned on it in thought.
"Hey." I said as he looked at me.
"Yea?" He asked.
"Come here." I said as he slowly walked over and sat in the chair beside me.

"Are you okay?" I asked sitting up a bit turning to him.
"Yea, I'm fine why?" He asked looking worried.
"Your not fine, tell me what happened." I begged.
"It's nothing." He said not holding back his sad expression now as he stared at the floor.

"It's something." I said as I scooted over.
"Let's talk about it." I smiled a small smile as he laid beside me staring up.
"I wasn't fast enough." He said sadly as I turned on my side to face him.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Someone, someone d-ied." His voice cracked.
"And I wasn't fast enough to get to him." He said sadly.
