I was walking home alone when I got a call from Cho. "Hey what's up?" I asked. "OMG Nova you won't believe what happened!!" She almost shouted at the screen. I held the phone a little bit further away from my ear. "No need to scream Cho. So what happened?" I said excitedly. "I got tickets for the upcoming BTS concert!" She screamed. I almost tripped. "Wha-" I wasn't even able to finish the sentence. "I know right! It wasn't easy because the tickets gets sold out within minutes but I got help from my friends and we managed to get two! One for me and one for you!" She said. "Aren't we a little too old for that?" I laughed. "Are you being serious?!" She asked almost angrily. I could almost sense that she was about to snap. "Ok ok I'll go with you!" I said. "Yayy! See you there!" And then she hung up. I smiled, this weird girl is my bestfriend.

When I got home the clock was 11 pm. I jumped out of my shoes and into my PJ's. I sighed and stared at the ceiling. I was exhausted and tired. I fell asleep instantly, thinking about the good old days when I still were into BTS.

I woke up by the sound of my alarm. It wouldn't keep quiet so I smacked it off my nightstand. I yawned and made myself some breakfast. The concert was this weekend and I didn't really feel like going because then I would miss my shift. I really needed this money. I shook my head and scrolled through my phone. *New update on BigHit* I clicked it. It was a image of the boys standing in front of a building. The caption said "We can't wait to see you all this weekend!" just in Korean. I turned off my phone and went to work.

It was a sunny and beautiful day so I didn't take the bus as I usually did. I was walking past some buildings when someone grabbed me from behind. "Don't make a sound" the man said. I dropped my bag in shock. He held a knife to my throat. "Give me your money and then I'll let you go" he said and tightened his grip around my neck. I started crying, feeling helpless. He dragged me into an alley and pushed me up against the wall, the knife pointing in my direction. I slowly reached down for my purse.

At that split moment everything was frozen in time. How could this happen to me?

Then suddenly the man fell to the ground and I saw another man standing behind him. He fell with his face first and was just laying there. I was completely shocked and scared.

The man behind him came rushing up to me. He had a strange dialect. "Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded and tried to wipe away my tears. "You don't seem alright?" He said and gave me a hug. This stranger saved me and now he's giving me a hug? I pushed him away and tried to act strong. "It's okay really. I'm fine. Thank you for saving me. But I really need to get to work." I said quietly. He smiled. "Thats understandable, do you mind if I walked with you?" He asked me politely. "I dont see any reason why not?" I said and tried my best to smile back.

"I didn't catch your name?" I said while we we're walking. "Oh, my name is-" he stuttered. "Call me Kookie" he said and smiled. At first I thought it seemed wired but I didn't think too much about it. "Your name sounds familiar, any idea why?" I joked. He seemed nervous again. "Hey I was just joking. Kookie, Cookie? Got it?" I said and smiled. He relaxed a bit. "Right."

He followed me all the way to where I worked. "Thank you for walking with me." I said and was about to go when he grabbed my hand. "I didn't catch your name?" He said. I looked suprised. "Oh, its Nova." I said and smiled at him. He let go of my hand and smiled back. "Nice to meet you Nova."

I worked as a nurse during the day time and when I had the chance I volunteered for the animal clinic. I got paid well and everybody was nice and caring. It felt like my life was back together. I've never been into any relationships because I'm consumed by my work and I don't really feel like needing a man just yet. Of course I know when I find the right one.

Today was not like any other day. All I could think about was Kookie. Why did that name sound so familiar? And why did he have that strange cap in the summer and mask? It seemed like he was in disguise or something. I laughed quietly for myself, as if.

Work was over and I finally could go home and rest

Work was over and I finally could go home and rest. I grabbed my bag and went outside. It was cold and the sky was dark. The street lights lighted up the sidewalk. I started thinking about Kookie again and how we had fun while walking this exact way just a couple of hours ago. The leaves were falling off the trees and travelled with the wind. It was quiet. Every now and then a car would pass by. I started listen to "Epiphany" while I was walking.

When I got home I made myself dinner with the scraps from yesterday. It was quiet here aswell. It was the same routine everyday. Wake up, work, eat, sleep. It was really boring. All I had was Cho. She's kind of the only friend I have left from school. I called her. "Cho, you wanna come over?" I asked. "I'm sorry Nova, I can't today. I'm staying late at work because one of my co-workers got sick so I'm taking their shift." she said tired. "Oh, you want some help?" I asked. "No it's okay, I'll manage. You should sleep. I don't want to drag you to the concert" She joked tired. I laughed. "Okay, I'll see ya." and hung up.

I laid back and stared at the ceiling. Listening to the flowing water running through the pipes in my little old apartment. I wish I had asked for Kookies number or something so I could thank him properly. And before I knew it I had fallen asleep with the thought of Kookie on my mind.
