Broken promises

When I woke up I was laying in my bed with Jungkook curled up beside me. Then I started remembering what happened. Tears were flowing down my cheeks like a river. I cried silently, trying not to wake Jungkook up. My heart was aching and I didn't know how to get rid of the pain. But I guess that's normal when your best friend just died. 

I covered my face with my pillow and sobbed. It was hard trying not to make any loud noises. I don't know how but it felt like Jungkook could sense I was in pain or something because half asleep he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer into his chest. His warmth was calming and I could finally relax and find my words. 

I almost forgot christmas was in three days. But I wasn't in the christmas spirit. I wasn't in the mood for anything. The snow was falling outside my window. Snowflakes are like people I guess, fragile and unique, no one is like each other and they can't be replaced. Cho was my snowflake. And now she was drifting further away, leaving me behind, while she stepped into a fresh start.

Jungkook was breathing heavily while he pulled me in a little closer. I turned my head and faced him. He looked so peaceful while he was sleeping. I snuggled up and sobbed while my head was buried in his chest. "Everything is gonna be alright" He suddenly whispered. He slowly opened his eyes and looked down at me with his big brown eyes. 

He wiped away my tears and kissed me on the forehead. "I can make you some breakfast if you'd like to?" He said and smiled to me. I nodded, trying my best to be happy for him. Even tho the pain inside was undescribable. He got up and made us some breakfast. "I'm not the best chief, Jin is the one who's usually cooking. So should have the fire department on a hot key" He joked. I smiled a sad smile.

We ate together. He tried his best to cheer me up, I really appreciated having him by my side. And I knew deep down, Cho would've wanted me to stay strong and live my life. And that's exactly what I was going to do, I was gonna live. For both of us.

"Okay, so what do you wanna do today?" Asked Jungkook. "I don't know, maybe- go back to the rusty carousel. Does that sound good to you?" I asked. He nodded and smiled because I finally agreed to do something. We grabbed our coats and put on our shoes. The snow was thick, like a layer of powder. It made funny sounds when we stepped on it. "Maybe we should invite the others?" He suggested. "Sure!" I said and looked at the walking ball of fluff that was walking in front of me.

"Sure we'll join!" Said Jin excitedly and ran upstairs to get coats and scarfs for everyone. "Do I have to go?" Complained Yoongi from the couch. He was wrapped in like a sushi with like three blankets. In his hand he held a warm cup of hot chocolate. "Yes you do!" Said Tae and took his cup. "Ey! Give that back!" Said Yoongi and jumped up from the couch, still stuck in his blankets. "Not before you agree to come! I'll make you some more afterwards! Just please do this for Nova!" Begged Tae. He sighed. "Fine."

We were all on our way out when Hoseok tripped down the stairs and landed in a pile of snow a little further away. Jin started to laugh his famous windshield laugh. "It's so cold stop laughing!" giggled Hoseok. "Weee!" Screamed Jimin and jumped after Hoseok and landed in the snow. "You guys are so silly" Laughed Namjoon. "Hey take this silly!" Said Hoseok and threw a snowball at Namjoon. It hit him right in the stomach. You asked for it!" Said Namjoon and threw three snowballs at Hoseok.

One of them managed to hit Yoongi. "Oh-" Said Hoseok. "Uh-" said everyone. "Namjoon you better run before Yoongi catch your ass" Laughed Jimin. Namjoon sprinted away in the speed of light with Yoongi right behind him. "Now you're the one who's gonna get it!" He shouted and made a huge snowball and threw it at Namjoon. Suprisingly it hit him. 

Jungkook joined them and I stood there and laughed. Jungkook threw a huge chunk of snow at Jin.

I laughed. "Jungkook, be gentle with Jin!" I shouted. He looked at me with a smirk. "oH no. Nononononoo!" I shouted and started running while laughing. He sprinted after me and tackled me in the ground. "Ow what was that good for!" I laughed. He was out of breath but smiled. He was laying on top of me. "You are just so beautiful, do you know that?" He asked. "CAN BOTH OF YOU STOP!" Laughed Tae and threw snow at Jungkook. "Oh I'm coming for you Tae, just wait" He said and got up in a hurry. 

We forgot completely why we were out in the first place. The rest of the day we had snowball fights, laughs and a lot of running around acting like dorks. "OOof I'm so cold" Complained Yoongi. "Same, we should all take a break" Said Jin and walked towards the hotel. "I'll make hot chocolate for everyone!" Shouted Tae and sprinted after Jin. I looked at Jungkook who had the redest cheeks I've ever seen. I giggled. He saw it and lifted me up and carried me. "Put me down!" I laughed. "It's not okay to laugh at others" He joked and carried me all the way to the hotel.

Tae made hot chocolate for everyone. "Someone who wants cream?" He asked while shaking a box of whipped cream. "Sure thing!" Everybody said almost in sync. "Let's watch a movie!" Suggested Jimin and looked for the remote control. We were all wrapped in blankets, snuggled up. There was little space in the couch so someone was sitting on the floor while others sat in beanbags. We sat on a cute cozy movie. Everybody was tired and some even fell asleep. Jungkook fell asleep on my shoulder while Hoseok fell asleep on my legs. 

"Pssst. Is someone awake?" I whispered. No asnwer. Everybody was sleeping. I smiled for myself. These cute dorks.
