"It's Not What it Looks Like,"

I gasp and open my mouth, stunned. I look at Jordan's shocked face and back at Sam's. "N-no...!" I hold my hands out wide, on either side of me.

"Jordan, it's not what it looks like! I don't-"

"No need to explain." Jordan says quitely. He lets his arms dangle by his sides, a few flowers fall out of the large bouquet.

"I kinda figured you'd have a boyfriend," he scratches the back of his neck, smiles weakly and shrugs.

"I'll let you get back to what you were doing, though I suggest you shut your door this time..." He starts walking away, down the hall and towards the elevator.

I stand there, stunned.

No, Jordan, I like you.

I push Sam in his chest.

"GET OUT OF MY APARTMENT!" I cry, "You've just ruined everything!"

He holds his hands up, "Okay, I'll be back later so we can finish this, babe."

Babe.

I blink.

I purse my lips and ball my fists, then slap him square in the mouth. "Don't call me that! Get out! Get out!" I scream, pushing him towards the door.

I kick him out into the hall (literally kick, I got him in his shin), then slam the door as hard as I can.

I scream at the top of my lungs and stare at the ceiling. In a fit of rage, I grab the vase of tulips off the counter and fast walk over to the full length window. I open it and think about throwing them out, but I don't want to hit anyone in the head or anything.

I slam the window shut and run as fast as I can into the hall, and see Sam at the end of it, sucking face with some plastic Barbie. That was fast.

"Hey, asshole!" I scream, throwing the flowers at him. They shatter on the floor at his feet.

I run back into my apartment, grab my keys and phone and run to the elevator.

Jordan, I'm coming. I'm sorry.
