After I said yes Jordan stood up and hobbled over to me, arms out, and we hugged. I was giggling like a looney the whole time and on the brink of bursting into tears. He wrapped his arms around me and sighed ever so slightly in relief and I laughed even more, "Oh my God," I say shakily.
"Thank you."
"No need to thank me," He steps back and smiles.
The band had to leave because their aunt was going into labor so I missed my chance on an autograph or two. However I wasn't disappointed at all, because I am officially dating Jordan Maron. It's like he was spawned straight out of my dreams.
We walk back to his car hand in hand and I start to realize how much I like him.
He takes me to a small hill overlooking the city and we see a few bright starts peeking through the heavy light pollution. There's a blanket set up here and we lay down next to each other. I curl up next to his side and he puts one arm around me and we both sigh simultaneously.
"Cameron," Jordan says as he looks down at me, eyebrows slightly raised. I hear a siren in the distance.
I wince interally, imagining if it were Jordan in the back of an ambulance. I shake the thought from my head.
"Yeah," I nearly whisper, then clear my throat, "Yeah?"
He looks up at the sky and I do the same. He points to the brightest star and the next thing he says is something I will never forget in my entire existence.
"If, for every time I thought of you, I were to pluck a star out of the sky, the sky would be dark."
