God. I can't stop stating at her. She's so beautiful and I just don't know.

I start to zone out when I finally feel a hand on my shoulder. "Mr. Hemmings. You might be new here, but we are supposed to pay attention in class, not daydream."

"Oh, yeah, I'm sorry. I don't know what got into me. History is my favorite." I replied. Who am I kidding. History, my favorite? What are presidents and declarations? "I'm just not used to your US History."

"That's right. I seem to have forgotten about that. Maybe we will get you switched into a different history class where they start out with the basics." My teacher, Mrs. Henry says.

"No. I'm fine. I will just catch up with some books from the library. I promise." I say, not wanting to lose precious time with the possible girl of my dreams.

"That's a great idea, Lucas." She walks back to the chalkboard and continues with the lesson. Asking stupid questions, handing out endless assignments. Finally, what feels like days, the bell rings.

I gather my stuff and meet Taylor outside the classroom. We walk to my locker together after saying our hellos and she looks at my schedule.

"You have English next. Are you familiar with this at least?" she asks me.

I bite my lip and reply, "Im pretty sure I am. I mean, I speak it." I feel sassy.

"Okay. I figured that." She giggles and her giggle is so adorable. I can't help but smirk. "Here's the book, and that classroom is all the way across the school. So, you need to make sure you hurry so you don't get late. Detentions are the punishment here."

"Detention is my home plate."

"So, your a bad boy?" she laughs.

"No, I don't run so I never make it."

"Oh my god. Thats funny. But for now let's just get to our classes."
