| sorry that last chapter sucked, but here we go !! Another one |

I walk into my empty apartment, and go to the fridge after throwing my bag on the counter.

"UGHHHHHHH I WANT FOOD." My stomach screams. I grab out pineapples, a fork, and sit on the couch. As I turn on the tv, I check my phone to display the time; 4:58.

"Shit! I have to pick Tay up at 6!" I throw the pineapples back in the fridge, and quickly run to my room to find something casual to wear.

After looking for about 15 minutes, I decide on black skinny jeans, converse, and my newest Blink 182 shirt. I walk into the bathroom and turn on the shower. I look in the mirror and smile, because in an hour, I will be with the most beautiful girl in the world.

I ring Taylor's doorbell and hear a dog bark. I have to admit, I jumped a little. I back down the 3 steps and wait for an answer.

"Can somebody please grab the dog so I can open this damn door?" says the person in which must be her dad.

"I hope it's not Luke. I'm not even ready yet!" I hear Taylor's voice and smile. Figures a girl wouldn't be ready on time, but oh well. I can talk with her dad, show him I'm not a bad boy.

I hear somebody fumbling with the doorknob, and I straighten my back. Her dad stands inside the door, welcoming me into the house.

"Sit down." He tells me when I make it up the 6-8 stairs to the main floor. I sit on the couch awkwardly. "She's never ready on time. Sorry about that." He continues.

"No worries. I came a little early anyways so it's really my fault. I hope she doesn't feel rushed. She has all the time that she needs. Our movie doesn't start until 8." I say that last sentence quietly. The date is a secret.

"What are you going to do in the meantime?" He asks, quite sternly.

I reply almost immediately. "Well, I was thinking we could go to the park and just hang out. Has he had dinner yet?"

Her dad hesitates to answer for a moment. "No, actually. She's been too busy with wanting to finish her homework so she could get ready for this date you asked her on. She talks about you all the time." He stops. It's silent for a moment, he clears his throat, and starts back up, a tear in his eye. "Whenever she talks about you, she has the biggest smile on her face and it makes me happy to see my little girl happy." He wipes the tear away that is now racing down his cheek.

"Well, I will make sure I keep her happy. That's all I ever want her to be no matter what. Your daughter is beautiful, sir. And her laugh, it gets to me."

"Don't take advantage of her and don't break her heart is all I ask. Please." He begs me. Literally leaning forward in his seat.

"I would never dare." Is all I say.

••••••••

We sit in silence for a couple of minutes when a door opens. "Daddy, Luke, I'm ready."

"Finally. You've been trying to get ready for that past 3 1/2 hours now!" her dad, Weston, says laughing.

I just stare at how beautiful she looks; Her hair slightly curled, bangs pinned back in a twist. I can't help but notice the Nirvana shirt that looks identical to the one I have at home. The black skinny jeans that fit her nicely, with black boots that are folded over to reveal a black and white design on the inside. Oh, and her nails are painted black.

••••••••

"Why do you always have to have that one finger painted?" I ask Ashton. "We're in a hurry. Can't you just deal with the tiny little chipped part.

"DONT EVEN ASK THAT QUESTION!" He yells back.

"It's ridiculous." I say quietly.

"Calum doesn't love you." Says Ashton randomly.

"Don't even go there."

•••••••

I start to get choked up just thinking about that day, so I stop, missing my best friends.

"You look beyond beautiful, Taylor." She can't help but blush.
