Since you couldn't sleep in your own bed for the past couple of months once you were back you didn't want to leave. You and Yugyeom both decided to sleep in for many reasons. So you didn't end up waking up until around noon which was pretty late for you. You had woken up on top of Yugyeom's chest. He was still asleep and probably wouldn't wake up anytime soon, but since he said he would come with you to meet with a vocal coach you would had to wake him eventually.
You decided to shower and cook something for Yugyeom before waking him. Ninety percent of the time he would be less grumpy if you fed him when he woke. It took a couple of tries but you got Yugyeom up in under ten minutes which was like a new record for you.
After you both got dressed you and Yugyeom headed down to the JYP building to meet with one of the vocal coaches. He was meeting with Stray Kids in the morning and last night you asked Minho to tell the coach to stay longer for you. You've never met any of the vocal coaches before since you never really needed to. Got7 doesn't work with them that often so there was no need for you to ever talk to them. Which was why you were nervous. You were worried that the second the coach met you that he would tell you that you were not a good singer and would never be an idol. Of course, when you told Yugyeom this he comforted you and told you not to worry.
You arrived at the JYP building around one. You and Yugyeom were both wearing sweatshirts and jeans but in different colors. You were both too lazy to wear anything fashionable especially after having to dress up every day for the past several months. The recording studios where the vocal coach was waiting for you were on the second floor. Every step you took made you more and more nervous. Even with Yugyeom by your side, you couldn't hide that you were afraid of not being good enough. You thought that the coach would take one look at you and say no. He would refuse to help you because there was no hope for you.
When you stepped into the soundproof recording room you were unconsciously squeezing Yugyeom's hand tightly. He didn't tell you though since he knew you were nervous enough as is. The vocal coach was sitting at the mix board just looking at his phone. He seemed pretty young to you, maybe in his late twenties. He had a beard and was wearing sunglasses inside. When he realized you had entered the room he stood up. "Hello, it's nice to finally meet" He looked at you. "Yugyeom I haven't' seen you in a while" He smiled. "Sungyeol this is my girlfriend Soomin she's also Got7's choreographer" Yugyeom was nice enough to introduce you. "Hi, it's a please to meet you" You bowed politely.
"So what brings you here? Minho told me you wanted to come by" Sungyeol sat back down and relaxed. "We were filming a music video yesterday and JYP asked us if we wanted to debut together as a duo, but Soomin doesn't sing professionally" Yugyeom explained to Sungyeol. "Ah, I see. Well, Soomin you and I can talk for a bit and maybe I can help you out" You looked at Yugyeom "You don't have to stay Yugyeom I know you're probably still tired" Your comment surprised Yugyeom "You sure? I don't have anything else to do and I don't mind being here"
"Yea go relax you've been working non-stop for months. I'll call you when we're done" You smiled to assure Yugyeom. The real reason why you didn't want him in the studio if Sungyeol told you your singing wasn't good enough and you would never be an idol. You didn't want Yugyeom to see you cry and break his heart. He seemed so excited by the idea of being a duo with you, you didn't want to let him down. "Ok well I'll see you later then" Yugyeom gave you quick peck waved to Sungyeol then headed out.
