The New Choreographer (Yugyeom x Reader)

Chapter 7~ Flirting King

Today you had the entire day off. That was extremely rare for you, and you were excited to take advantage of the day. You were going to get caught up on chores and errands you haven't been able to do because of your busy schedule. You woke up around ten in the morning and it took you about thirty minutes to shower and get ready.

Today you made your outfit very simple since it was starting to get colder so you wore a long sleeve light mint green sweater with ripped black jeans and black combat boots. For about an hour or so you did chores around your house like taking out the trash, vacuuming, and cleaning everything. Once you had finished you drove to the store and got groceries so you would have food for the next two weeks or so.

While you were out you also deposited checks from JYP and picked up a package your Dad sent you while he was away in the States for work. It was about two in the afternoon by the time you were driving home from all the errands. When you were driving your phone went off, you wanted to look at who was calling but waited until you parked at your house.

You picked up your phone and noticed it was from an unsaved number. You read the message and it said:

'Hey, Soomin this is Yugyeom I know it's your day off hope I'm not bothering you, I wanted to apologize about last night. I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable'

Suddenly you remembered what he was talking about. You face turned red as you sat in your car. Putting your face on your steering wheel, all the emotions you felt yesterday came back. You totally forgot that Yugyeom kissed your cheek. After about five minutes had passed of just sitting in your car you decided to respond to Yugyeom.

'You don't have to apologize, you didn't upset me' You hit send before getting out of your car.

Once you got to your house with all your groceries you heard your phone buzz against your kitchen counter. It was the same number.

'I wish you were coming to the studio today, I'm so excited to dance'

You smiled as you stared at your phone. It wasn't often you found someone that liked to dance as much as you. You responded:

'Me too, I would come to the studio today but I'll be there all day tomorrow'... 'Doesn't Got7 have a fan meeting today?' You send a second message to Yugyeom

You set your phone upside down while you put your groceries away so you wouldn't be tempted to look again. When you finished you grabbed your phone and sat down on your couch. Sole jumped up and sat on your lap. You had received another message from Yugyeom.

'Yea it starts in a few minutes, but I'de rather be with you, dancing of course'

Your face turned red again, you felt like you were reading into what Yugyeom was saying to you but you couldn't help it. He was kind-hearted, a great dancer and was very very attractive. You continued to text Yugyeom until he had to go on stage for his fan meeting.

You put your phone down and took Sole outside for fresh air. You opened your sliding screen door and walked out, taking a seat on one of two inexpensive chairs you put in your tiny backyard. For awhile you sat and just watched Sole run around and roll in the patches of grass that were still alive. The weather was getting cold enough that the grass was slowly dying.

Luckily today the weather was very good. There were barely any clouds in the sky and there was a light breeze that ruffled the trees just enough to make a soft white noise in your backyard. You stayed outside even after Sole had gotten tired and went back in, it was just too good of a day to be inside.

Suddenly you could hear your dog barking from inside the house. You weren't sure how long you had been outside but you assumed it was at least an hour or so. Your phone was buzzing against the table you had set it down on earlier. When you picked your phone up you noticed it was an unsaved number. You thought it might be someone from JYP so you decided to answer. "Hello this is Soomin," you said answering the call.

Suddenly your eardrum was about the burst, there were several people yelling and screaming on the other side of the call. You moved your phone away from your ear trying to adjust to high volume. You said hello again hoping they would start talking to you. One of the voices you could make out had said "Why does he have her number?!" and another saying "What a flirt!" As the voices started to die down you moved your phone back to your ear.

"Hello who is this?" you asked again. Abruptly all the voices stopped talking and got extremely quiet. Finally, someone had answered you "This is JB" suddenly it clicked in your head that it was all of Got7 on the line. "This isn't your phone though" you responded. You have saved JB's number as Got7 JB. "Oh yea, this is Yugyeom's phone" "Why do you have his phone? Is he ok?" "He's fine..." You could hear some of the other members laughing in the background. "So why do you have his phone and why are you calling?" you asked, but naturally assumed this was a prank on you. "He uh..." JB paused as Jackson yelled in the background. "This number is saved as Cutie Queen with hearts" Jackson yelled.

You could hear JB coughing slightly through the call "He left his phone open so we looked and there was a contact he was texting named Cutie Queen so we all decided to call it..." He paused again "And you picked up..." You started to feel your face get red in embarrassment. You definitely did not save your number as "Cutie Queen" when you were out having dinner.

On the other side of the line, you could hear a door open and suddenly the members yelling again. One voice stood out to you it said "Give me my phone back!" it must be Yugyeom you thought. It sounded like the members were being chased away from the phone. After a few minutes of waiting someone started talking to you again. "Hello?" the person said to you. "Is this Yugyeom?" you asked since the voice kinda sounded like Yugyeom but not quite.

"Soomin I'm really sorry about bothering you, the others took my phone while I went to get water" Yugyeom was trying to explain to you. "It's fine really" You smiled even though Yugyeom couldn't see you. You didn't want to sound embarrassed. "They said my number was saved as 'Cutie Queen'..." you said while walking towards your couch. For a moment you and Yugyeom were silent, it seemed like he didn't want to answer or acknowledge what you said.

"Yea... haha I saved your number as that I hope you don't mind" Yugyeom joked trying not to sound awkward. You laughed too, not sure how to respond. Ironically in the background of the call, you could hear Jackson yelling at Yugeyom again. He was saying 'Couple' in English and 'So cute'. You guessed he was trying to tease Yugyeom. "Jackson I will come over there!" Yugyeom sounded angry and also joking. "So what's my number saved as?" Yugyeom asked you suddenly. "I haven't saved it as anything yet I keep forgetting" you were honest. You were planning on just putting his number has Got7 Yugyeom same as JB. "You should save it as Cutie King so we match" Yugyeom laughed again, this time a little louder.

"Sure haha" you laughed thinking Yugyeom was joking. "Well I have to go we're about to leave. I'm sorry about the others calling you". "Don't worry about it. I'll see you tomorrow then" you felt kinda sad that Yugyeom had to go. You wished you could have talked to him longer. "Bye..." Before you could say goodbye Yugyeom hung up. You thought because people were probably wanting him to get going. You looked at his contact and decided to name it before you forgot again. But you didn't save it, Cutie King, like Yugyeom suggested. You put it as Flirting King instead, since you thought it would be funnier.

You set your phone back down and walked over towards your backyard again. The wind had stopped, and the sky was beginning to change colors. It was a light yellow-orange, with more clouds coming in the direction of the ocean. You closed the door and went back to doing chores.

The rest of the day felt really bland to you, nothing else out of the ordinary happened. You made dinner for yourself before sitting down and watching random shows on Netflix. You were thankful that you had the day off, but you were also happy you didn't have days off like this all the time. You would rather be active and be around people. At least tomorrow you would get to dance all day.
