Chewdo scurried over to the stairs, and squeaked loudly while jostling his bell, as if to call us.
"Slow down, Chewdo!" said Jack, panting.
"I don't think he can go up the 12 flights of stairs, frankly," I said.
"Eh?!" I jumped. The mouse ran up to me and crawled onto my head. Jack was laughing.
"He likes you!" he snickered.
"Let's actually climb these stairs," I smiled. "We don't have all day, you know."

We three saw the beautiful morning Sun after exiting the (still-shattered) door. The rodent dashed behind our pedestal and snuck into a tiny mouse hole. From the inside, he pushed a little metal box out for me to take.
"Is that your home?" I asked. The rodent shook his head. I gave Jack a confused glance, and he shrugged, too.
"I mean, we just unsnoozed him down there," Jack reminded. "Maybe Ryieszenski gave him instructions already."
"Squeak?" Chewdo turned to Jack, seemingly confused.
"You should know him: Professor Owen Richie Ryieszenski," Jack clarified. The mouse pondered a bit, then nodded reassuringly.
"Ahem..." There were some newspaper snippets (and a giant picture of me and Igor, but in brown bronze), along with a computer typed message on another azure paper.
"Lot's of reading to be done, huh?" Jack teased.
"Mhm," I looked at him. "You're doing it next time."

CHAPTER 1
INTERNATIONAL NUCLEAR PROHIBITION TREATY— - — - — - — - —
A FUTURE WITHOUT NUCLEAR ARMAGEDDON
10th September 2080, TuesdayThe International Nuclear Prohibition Treaty, signed by 218 UN member states, replaces the Russian American Nuclear Treaty of 2043. We shall feel united and almighty, knowing that nuclear war is not going to be the end of us, and we no longer have to fear the global superpowers attaining more influence on the world by force and brutality.

TWO BRONZE DOGS ERECTED IN CELEBRATION OF NUCLEAR TREATY
10th September 2082, ThursdayArtist Frances Alessandra Meikel made and sold two bronze statues to the United Nations in celebration of 2 years since the signing of the International Nuclear Prohibition Treaty, which had officially marked the end of nuclear usage on a large scale. All nuclear weapons and warheads were to be dismantled and disposed of, leading many to believe that the world is now safer than it has ever been before. The statues can be found at the UN Secretariat Building, New York City, NY, though they are not available for public viewing as of yet.

Dear Igor and Jack, Humanity's Peacekeepers (and Chewdo too!),
You probably already know from the plaques, but you two are symbolic of world peace. Mrs. Meikel created you two as statues in commemoration of the treaty, but only as that — statues. She gave you your bodies, but not life. If you were to perhaps consider Mrs. Meikel as a parent, then in a sense, you would have three more!
If you'd like to know more, I also have a map and compass (bronze isn't magnetic, don't worry!) to take you to the next location. Hopefully the box kept it intelligible! Otherwise, you can just go southwest from the gate. Find another metal box there, it should be somewhere around the Robert Moses Playground and Queens-Midtown Tunnel Ventilation Building. Maybe some red spray paint can help you.
All the best!
Faithfully,
Prof. O. R. Ryieszenski— - — - — - — - —
