You yawned as you closed your door and rub your eyes. It's midnight. Nothing special happened. But of course, Sonic and the others are discussing about important matters and about you. On how to get you back home
Everyone seemed to be eager to help you. At the same time, aren't. At this point on getting you back home seem to be a touchy subject, specially to the boys. They just met you and got really close at the short time and fall for you. Everything happened so fast, and yet, every of that moment is unforgettable. Even though it might seem cliche, but it's like what they said; if you love someone, make them happy and set them free.
You walked quietly and carefully as you walked passed the other doors. As you opened the door, you saw Shadow. Your eyebrows raised. You also weren't a bit surprise. After you heard Shadow in all of a sudden and had that talk, you kind of expect the unexpected every night
Shadow was only looking at the sky with his arms crossed, his eyes slightly narrowed as his lips twitched. You don't know if he noticed you, or he just ignored you. Either way, you decided to call him out
"Shadow" you said
He looked at you with his expressionless face.
You didn't move an inch at your spot. You felt your face heat up. He was staring at you. You didn't know what to say or do. You felt the slight impatience from him
He raised one of his brow as he sighed. He got back from his usual posture. His face also returned to the same grumpy looking him
"What do you want?"He said with his monotone voice
"I-I-" You stuttered
"S-sorry that you h-hate me. So-sorry that I didn't u-understand you a-and asked you things that lead to your pe-personal matters. I," You took a step back and bit your lip as you looked at the ground not knowing what better words to put in your sentence
"I didn't know her" You said
You flinched as his eyes sparked with a mix of shock and slight anger as he looked at you
"How did you know?"He growled
"No need to tell you who. I just want you to understand. I know that feeling Shadow. We were the same, but I didn't felt any love. That so called happiness were merely lies as I realized what reality is. I understand that feeling alone, the feeling of living in the dark,"
"But look at you right now, look at what you have," You took a step forward
He remained silent. He glanced at your motion. You gently took his hand as you smiled.
"You are a strong person Shadow. Look at what you are and look at what you have. New life, new friends. I know it's hard to move on, but you have to keep getting forward. Because this is another chance of you finally being happy. You deserve it, Shadow. You deserve to feel happy." You held his hand as you pulled him into a hug
You can see Shadow's eyes widening but didn't pull out from the hug. He just didn't move.
"I'm sorry" was the last thing you said
Both of you stayed in the sudden embrace. You heard Shadow's breathing changed.
You let go of him and smiled. Despite that emotionless face, you can see something flashing back into his eyes. Something that made his eyes filled with full sadness and pain.
We both share the same misery, the same pain
Yet, our past is different
You who had been loved by someone
Me who been hated by everyone
Me had abandoned by them
But ,I am here for you
I feel the agony you're feeling
