i woke up to pounding on the door of our motel room
my eyes shot open, i checked the time, 5am, strange.
i put on some clothes and got out of bed without waking ethan
i opened the door for my face to be greeted with an extremely bright flashlight, unable to see the person behind it
"riah carson?" the feminine voice asked
"yes?" i asked groggily my hand covering my eyes from the bright light.
"you're under arrest for the holding of a fugitive." a hand was bought to my shoulder to turn me around and slam me against the wall, my arm was pinned to my upper back and i winced in pain
i called for ethan but it was too late.
they grabbed him from off of the bed and pinned him to the ground.
"ethan." i called out
all i could hear were his winces from being put in tight handcuffs, they escorted us both out of the motel room in tight handcuffs
i was escorted to one police car as ethan was led to a different one
i looked over at him, fresh tears brewing in my tired eyes. it was over, i'd probably never see him again
"I LOVE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH." he yelled while the male police officer ducked ethans head down into the cop car
"I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MO-" but before i could finish saying my last words to ethan a male police officer slammed the door harshly, tears began spilling from my eyes quickly. a ringing in my ears was present from me being so overwhelmed
a female officer entered the cop car and turned over the engine, she began filing something in her laptop. behind the bars separating us, i asked in a soft voice, "i'm never gonna see him again, am i?"
"honestly sweetie, i don't know. i don't know why you'd throw away your future all for some boy." she replied
i scoffed harshly.
"that's none of your concern." i responded angrily.
"i've seen your record, it's not the cleanest but you had a future going for you, and now you throw it away for a guy you probably don't even know, i know it's none of my business, but i just cant wrap my head around the fact that you could throw it all away like that." she replied i'm a brutally honest tone.
"i love him." i said softly. "i wanted a future with him and now that's probably gone." i said admitting to her and myself.
