Lydia POV
So the speech from Allison about loving boyfriends and stuff put me in a bad mood. And then there was the creep in my garden and now I just want to sleep and forget this whole day even happened.
-DREAM-
Giggling. That's the first thing that came to me. A sound soft and delicate, the sound of a girl that's happy. And then a more masculine laugh and a child's squeal. I was in a hallway of some kind. White walls and paintings of landscapes and battles decorating them, painted straight into the white walls. Walking closer to the sounds I saw a group of three. The back of a man and women with a child, maybe a year old, sat infront of them. They seemed to be trying to encourage the little girl to do something. And then she looked at the man and said "Pupaw" she said although I think she meant to say papa. The couple cheered as they picked up their daughter and coddled her. Walking around I tried to a look at the parents and when I saw their faces I gasped in surprise. It was me and Josh Argent.
"Well I get this little monsters first word, he or she will definitely be a mother child" blasted my double and the double of Josh looked at her with love in his eyes. They looked completely and utterly in love, I want that.
"In your dreams" he laughed as they pressed their foreheads together.
-ENDDREAM-
Waking with a start I bolted upright in bed looking around the room. It was morning and my alarm was going off for school, perfect. Getting dressed I started to think about that weird dream, why? What's it suppose to mean and why would I have a dream of my best friends uncle? Weird. It was quiet and boring at school well besides Allison's mom becoming a substitute teacher, that family was slowly invading this school. They seriously were because at lunch I walked to the cafeteria and I saw Josh arguing with his father, he probably doesn't want to get a job.
Slowly walking over I tried hearing the conversation. "Joshua I'm not arguing with you, if you know how to kill this thing kill it and the Hale Pack" said Gerard and I frowned confused as Josh's jaw clenched.
"I'm not some puppet to blindly follow you and you can't just cancel my credit cards so I can't leave because I will, I don't want to stick around a family who thinks it's okay to fucking drug me for Christ sakes" he shouted catching the attention of a few wondering students but he ignored them. Deciding I'd intervene I sped up my walk until I reached the father-son duo.
"Hi um I'm sorry to interrupt but could I borrow Josh for a sec?" I asked to which Josh glared at his father before nodding and leading me away with a handnon the small of my back. "So I wanted to talk to you about something because your a smart guy" I said awkwardly and he smirked, hmmm hot.
"Well depends on the topic" he said and I took a deep breath as I thought of how to start. "Lyd's I may be on the outs with my family but I'm here to talk to if you need me" he said putting a calming hand on my shoulder as he leans against the teachers desk of the biology lab we were currently in.
"I had a dream, a incredibly realistic strange dream, and it was about a man and a women and they were watching a child, their child, encouraging it until it said 'papa' and they looked to utterly in love and I don't really know what it means" I said not looking at Josh's face until I'd finished speaking.
"Well I mean it could show your longing for love or represent loneliness, perhaps a warning that you need to open up to someone" he said waving his hands around as he thought of ideas. Noticing the hesitant look on my face he sent me a worried look. "There's something about the dream your not telling me" he stated.
"It looked like it was in the past and it was so real it's like it already happened, like I was looking into someone else's life" I Said to him and he nodded.
"Well maybe you did" hebsaid in a light voice and I frowned. "I personally thinks there's more to the world that the black and white everyone sees bodies may die but souls what happens to them" he said before putting his hands on my shoulders and kissing my forehead. "Look if you need me call or text but I have to go talk to the bank and find a place to live" he said before he left the class room leaving me on my own. I so had to talk to Allison about this.
But she wasn't at her house. And I sat waiting for an hour for her to arrive but then she said she was busy but she shouldn't be because she always busy and I needed to talk to her about her uncle and my weird dream or what he said and how I'm starting to think it may be true. So after translating the Archaic Latin for her I was ready to talk, when a leather bound book caught my eye.
"What's this?" I asked picking up the book and opening it. It was covered in drawings of children and then further into the book it had writing in English about mythical creatures and drawings of what they looked like, someone really liked their supernatural huh.
"Oh it's just an empty book" Said Allison dismissively until she saw my face. It held a look of incredulousness since I could clearly see what was in the paper, seriously I just translated a dead language and she still thought I was that stupi. "Wait you can read it?" She asked incredibly shocked it seemed. "So what's in it?" She said as I read a passage, a journal of someone called Jeremy Gilbert. Running a finger down the worn paper I felt the sadness and depression and the slipping grip on reality the guy had.
"The words of a crazy person"
