Chapter 30: Ain't No Rest For The Wicked

Jeremy POV 

"Deaton?" I groaned as I finally got control of my body again. "Where is everyone?" I asked and he sighed motioning for me to lay down. 

"Your wound isn't healing" he stated and I nodded. "Kol provided some blood incase it wasn't healed when you woke up" he said and I took the vial and drink the contents. It was dark outside, the vets office closed. "There's a party at Derek's you should try there" 

"Thank you Deaton" I told him the vet nodded and turned going back to his task. "Great no car, perfect"

-TIMESKIP-

Getting to the loft I walked inside. I saw teens and young adults dancing paint decorating their bodies in vibrant colours that glowed in the dark. Seeing a table with paint I shrugged and approached only to see Lydia standing alone to the side who seemed bored. 

"Hey" I Said walking up to her and she seemed stunned. "Wanna dance?"

"I'm not a rave kind of girl" she said but accepted the hand I offered her. "When did you wake up?"

"Not too long before I got here" I told her as we walked further into the dance floor. "Figured you'd want an explanation" I told her and she nodded. "How about later? Where it's quieter?" I asked and she nodded. We danced, staring into each other's eyes. I felt awful lying to her, to myself as well I guess, to everyone. Maybe I should go, leave before it's too late and then it won't hurt when they realise I've been lying to them all. Looking away from Lydia for a second I saw a girl, an aura around her all too familiar and I recognised her. But it wasn't entirely who I thought it was. She was here for a reason. Looking around the room I noticed in the shadow 2 glowing pinpoints. "Lydia, go to the balcony"

"Why?" She asked and I just turned towards the girl I'd seen. "Josh?!!"

"Josh hey man, what's going on?" Scott asked as I got closer towards him and the girl. "Josh?"

"Everyone needs to get out of here now" I stayed grabbing the girls arm. I was about to tell him to get everyone out but the music stopped. 

"Get out!!!!!" Derek shouted at everyone in the loft and they all fled except all of us who knew Derek. 

"Where's Lydia?" Scott asked and we looked around. I saw one of the twins holding her near a radiator holding her to keep her warm. 

"Everyone spread out, they'll take this chance to attack" I said letting the girl go who rubbed her arm and stepped closer to Scott. Looking around I saw the first Oni emerge from the shadows and snarled as my fangs elongated and my eyes shined bright blue. It charged and it swung with its sword that I flipped over and clawed its leg when I landed. It turned and I grabbed its middle and hit it to the floor. I saw Kol who charged over and grabbed it and threw it pretty much into my claws. 

Feeling a sword go through my back I let go of the ONI infront of me and knelt on the floor just before the sairdnwas removed. 

"Uncle Josh!!" I heard Allison Shout and I looked at saw the sun rising and I stood and felt the cold hands of the oni resting me. "No Uncle Josh" I fell to the floor frozen burning felt the heat of the sun. "Uncle Josh hey hey look at me"

"He'll Be Fine" stated Kol looking at the new girl. "Where exactly do you live?" He asked her and she stuttered. 

"First of all what the hell is going on?" Asked Scott stepping infront of the new girl slightly. "Why are you acting like she's responsible for this"

"Because they were Oni, Scott" I told him standing batting away Allison's hands as she tried to help me. "Only kitsunes can control ONI" I told him and he opened his mouth turning to the new girl who clearly seemed confused. "Besides her mother's an old friend of mine"

"You know my mother?" The girl asked surprised. Nodding my head I moved for the door. 

"If you don't help us me and Kol will find her either way" I told her. 

"I still don't understand what's going on" Said Scott and thankfully Kol answered. Rather frantically mind you. 

"Something wicked this way comes my friend"
