Jeonghan left Jun's house after eating breakfast, insisting that he should tell Minghao how he felt, the younger still feeling unsure.

As he paced around his room, thinking about the worst case scenarios in which Minghao would leave him forever to never come back, he heard his phone ring. He stared at the screen for what felt like years, Minghao's name flashing in the middle. He wondered if it was better to just hide from his best friend forever until the younger eventually forgot everything that had happened between them, but as he heard the phone ring, Jeonghan's words still played in his mind like a broken record. He needed to talk to Minghao.

"Hi?"

He spoke shyly into the phone, hoping Minghao couldn't hear his heart beating loudly against his chest.

"Jun?"

The younger breathed, and Jun felt like he might cry. He'd seen the other the last night and as much as he'd hurt him, he missed him badly.

"Minghao"

Jun whispered, holding his phone close to his ear. Before he could say anything else, Minghao spoke up.

"Would you...? Can you come over?"

He spoke shyly, and Jun had never thought the younger could be so small, but Jun made Minghao feel things the younger would never admit.

"Yeah... Sure"

Jun spoke. So many things were left unsaid, and Jun could feel his breath hitching in his throat every time he spoke to Minghao, he needed to clear everything up.

Jun agreed he would meet Minghao at his place in about an hour. That gave him just the right amount of time to overthink just what he would wear.

After twenty minutes of trying on various outfits, he settled on a black Metallica tank top and ripped denim jeans. He immediately left his house before he could start regretting everything.

As he finally stood before Minghao's front door, he was tempted to turn around and run away, hide from all his problems like the coward he'd always been, but Jun knew he at least deserved an explanation to what had happened, he wanted Minghao to be honest with him, even if he might not like the truth, so he knocked on the door softly.

The door immediately opened, revealing a very tired looking Minghao. There were black circles under his eyes and his hair was an absolute mess. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt and sweatpants, and as much as Jun didn't want to, he still found him incredibly beautiful.

Minghao was the first to break the uncomfortable silence.

"Come in"

He muttered, holding the door open for his friend. This was new to Jun.

Minghao had always been the confident one, the one envied by all the guys and loved by all the girls, but right there and then, he looked so fragile, as if anything Jun said could tear him to pieces.

Jun would never know but Minghao's mind was a chaos. Thoughts of Jun's lips on his still filling all the corners of his mind, and as much as he knew it wasn't right, it felt so good. Everytime he looked at Jun it was as if everything made sense for once in his life, and he was so scared of these new feelings he had, but he wanted Jun with every fiber of his being.

As they entered the younger's bedroom, they both sat down on Minghao's bed, so close yet so far. Minghao wanted to reach for Jun's hand and show him just how he felt, but he was scared.

"So..."

Jun spoke slowly, slightly lifting his head to look up at Minghao, the younger smiling softly and blushing immediately.

"I need to tell you something"

Jun said, his hands shaking as he tried to even his breathing. He was actually doing this, no backing down now.

"I... The reason why I can't keep doing this... The kissing..."

He started fidgeting with his hands. He was sure Minghao would reject him and he was bracing himself for the heartbreak.

"I... Uh-"

He breathed, trying his best to compose himself.

"I like you"

He finally let out, his voice barely above a whisper. He expected Minghao to be disgusted, to leave the room and even scream at him, so he was taken aback when he felt a soft hand on top of his.

Minghao gulped. He wasn't completely sure about what he felt, but he was sure his feelings for Jun were more than just friendly, and Jun's confession had set off sparks inside him.

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have said that, that was stupid-"

Jun muttered, looking anywhere but at Minghao, and the younger felt so bad right then. All the times he'd made Jun feel like he was just an object for his own pleasure... He had to show him it was so much more than that.

"Jun..."

He spoke up softly, cupping the sides of the older's face.

"I... I was so scared but I... I think I might like you too"

He confessed, and it felt so good, like a heavy weight had just been lifted off his chest. Jun looked up at him confused.

"You don't have to lie because you feel bad for me..."

Jun said, looking down at his hands, and Minghao knew he had to make him believe how much he meant his words.

He placed his hand on the nape of Jun's neck, the older holding onto Minghao's thin waist. He leaned in softly, Jun's eyes immediately closing. And it was like the first time all over again, so good yet so different. The kiss was not needy or messy, it was sweet and light and Minghao wanted to show Jun just how much he meant to him.

It was a short kiss, the both of them pulling away a few seconds after, Jun placing his head on Minghao's shoulder as the younger caressed his hair.

Maybe, just maybe, everything would be alright.
