It all started when Jeonghan was in middle school. He didn't have many friends, and a few mean girls would tend to pick on him and steal his lunch, that was until Seungcheol came along and told them he'd kick them in the hoohoo if they didn't leave him alone (yes he really said hoohoo), shooting a smile at Jeonghan, leaving him starstruck.

Years went by and even though they drifted apart, Jeonghan's feelings didn't, and he'd catch himself stealing glances of Seungcheol in the hallway every now and then. Surely, Jeonghan didn't expect anything of it, it was a stupid crush, or that's what he thought until he was walking home, Seungcheol by his side, the younger boy's cheeks flushed pink.

They were on their way to Jeonghan's house to start their science project, and he almost couldn't believe it. Seungcheol was so attractive it felt so unreal, and Jeonghan wondered just how the universe could come up with someone so beautiful. He wanted to start a conversation, but he was too scared anything he'd say wouldn't be interesting enough for Seungcheol, but as if the older had read his mind, he spoke up.

"Puberty served you well"

Jeonghan almost choked on his own spit at that, his heartbeat immediately quickening. How was he supposed to respond?

"Oh? uh... Thanks?"

He managed to mutter, Seungcheol flashing him a small smile.

"Honestly I'm glad you're my partner, I've wanted to talk to you for a while now"

And Jeonghan swore he could've passed out right there and then. As he opened the front door to his house, Seungcheol's gaze was fixed on him.

He followed Jeonghan up to his room, the younger staying silent the whole entire time until they finally got there.

"It's uh... It's kinda messy"

He spoke, settling his backpack on the ground. Seungcheol looked around the room, almost mesmerized.

"Dude you like Inuyasha? I love that show"

Jeonghan pretended he didn't hear the "dude" and smiled softly at Seungcheol.

"Yeah, it's my favorite"

They continued making small talk for a while, and Jeonghan found they had more things in common than he'd expected, and maybe his crush on Seungcheol wasn't going away anytime soon.

As they were working on the project, hours passed by, and Seungcheol had to leave eventually.
They both stood on Jeonghan's front door, staring at each other awkwardly until Seungcheol spoke up.

"I had a lot of fun"

He spoke shyly, and this felt too much like a date. In this precise moment they would kiss and smile fondly at each other, if only this were a date.

"Would you?... There's this party on Sunday..."

Jeonghan's heart skipped a beat.

"Yes"

He spoke, maybe too eagerly, but Seungcheol didn't mind.

"I'll pick you up at 8"

He smiled, starting to walk away.

Sunday couldn't come soon enough

And then it was Sunday, and Jeonghan was freaking out in his room, changing outfits every five seconds because he had to look perfect.

As he was searching for the next shirt to try on he heard the doorbell ring.

Fuck.

Fuckfuckfuckfuck.

He checked himself out in the mirror once again and immediately rushed downstairs, quickly opening the door.

"Hi"

The older spoke, Jeonghan very aware that he was completely checking him out.

"You look amazing"

There it was, Jeonghan blushed a deep shade of red and smiled at Seungcheol.

They both started walking to Hansol's house, their hands brushing against each other's the whole time, and it would've been so easy to just reach out, but Jeonghan wasn't brave enough.

They got to Hansol's house and the party started soon.

Jeonghan wasn't the type to party, but he found himself dancing with Seungcheol and even drinking a little, just enough to be tipsy.

They were both talking, Jeonghan's back pressed against a wall, Seungcheol next to him.

"Let's get out of here"

He whispered in Jeonghan's ear, and the younger eagerly took his hand, letting Seungcheol lead him upstairs.

Seungcheol entered the first empty room he found, pulling Jeonghan inside with him.

"You're beautiful"

He whispered, their faces only inches apart. And Jeonghan didn't know wether the butterflies in his stomach were the alcohol or not. But as he felt Seungcheol leaning in, he gave up to the feeling.

The older pressed him against a wall, grabbing his waist firmly, as their lips collided. Seungcheol tasted like alcohol but Jeonghan absolutely loved it. Their lips moved together for what felt like a thousand years, Jeonghan's hands tangling in the older's hair, and it felt too good to be true.

"Coups?"

Someone suddenly spoke up, making Seungcheol immediately pull away from Jeonghan.

"I... Uh..."

Seungcheol started, the other person staring at him.

"Don't tell me you're..."

The boy spoke up, holding his laughter in, and Jeonghan just wanted to disappear. He hoped Seungcheol would stand up for him, just like he did when they were both kids, but it turned out this had been too good to be true.

"What? Me, gay? Come on dude, he was the one who came on to me"

He spoke mockingly, shooting an apologetic look at Jeonghan.

"Back off him, princess"

The other boy spoke, and Jeonghan had never felt this embarrassed. And so he ran out, he ran out and downstairs and drank every beer that anyone offered him so he could forget Seungcheol ever existed.
